Speaker 1
[00:00:00.00 - 00:00:09.44]

Okay, hi, first of all, hi, Do I look tan and gorgeous? You look tan, you look gorgeous, rested, refreshed. I'm tan. You are tan. I feel like we haven't been in here in weeks.

2
Speaker 2
[00:00:09.44 - 00:00:10.52]

I know it has been a minute.

1
Speaker 1
[00:00:10.52 - 00:00:20.54]

We haven't, because the episode that came out last week was a pre-record, because you know the holiday and whatnot. I'm sure people already know, but tell them why you're tan. I'm an island girl. She's an island girl, babe.

2
Speaker 2
[00:00:20.54 - 00:00:32.84]

She got a text. I got a text to go to Fiji to appear on an episode of Aftersun for Love Island. How was it? Oh, my god, it was.

1
Speaker 1
[00:00:32.84 - 00:00:46.66]

Everything. Welcome to. Disrespectfully. with Katie Maloney and Dana Kathan, Unapologetically, we're here to do what we want to do, spilling the tea. Babe, you're gonna see the power of women like Disrespectfully.

2
Speaker 2
[00:00:46.66 - 00:01:09.98]

I mean, I'm a big fan of Love Island. So for me, it was like, really Like an experience, because first of all, I got to like sit and talk about everything that's been going on on the season. But mostly, you know that week specifically, which was a huge week for Love Island, because it was like movie night. We're getting you know towards the end of the season movie night. What does that mean?

[00:01:10.08 - 00:01:10.94]

Did you not watch it?

1
Speaker 1
[00:01:11.18 - 00:01:27.32]

I watched parts to see Ariana, just because I'm excited to see her to like cry every time. But I don't know what is wrong with my brain. I have tried. I've tried UK, I've, all of you, all of my close friends are obsessed with this show and I can't get into it. But I also don't watch a ton of reality TV.

[00:01:27.62 - 00:01:29.86]

So like I don't know it just like overwhelms me.

2
Speaker 2
[00:01:29.86 - 00:01:37.54]

I can't. There's not a lot of like crime and murder in. Yeah, it's. it's very even keel. You know, and truthfully it is.

[00:01:37.54 - 00:01:55.22]

it is a commitment to get into it. It's better like, if you can like, binge it, which is fine, because it's like I can't. I'm not watching TV every single Night, so I want to be able to watch like five episodes at a time. So I'll watch it like once a week and watch the past like five nights. I was gonna say, cuz it is on daily.

[00:01:55.28 - 00:02:01.70]

It's an. I believe it's like five nights. Yeah, it's crazy, I know. I know. So, first of all, Fiji's gorgeous.

[00:02:02.78 - 00:02:29.78]

it's Paradise, I mean it's beautiful. but going to the set and you know the way they have it set up, They basically took over like an old, like resort. so they have, like it's a compound, essentially, and You're there sitting in one of their, you know, Wardrobe, makeup, sort of like little cabins that they have. and just like right across Right. There's the the villa, and you and you're watching like the live feed of like what's happening inside there.

[00:02:29.78 - 00:02:36.12]

You're like, this is so surreal, like just seeing them doing like their little thing. Um, I don't know.

1
Speaker 1
[00:02:36.12 - 00:02:39.96]

Did you get to spoon with anyone? Like? did you join in? No, you know, you can't go in there.

2
Speaker 2
[00:02:39.96 - 00:02:49.64]

They keep them, you know, in Inside the villa, you know, I only the people that like Ariana or if, like more, it goes in to do a challenge with them, or.

1
Speaker 1
[00:02:50.42 - 00:02:55.44]

Producers go in, so I didn't. I didn't go, so there was no meet-and-greet situation. There's just no brother.

2
Speaker 2
[00:02:55.44 - 00:03:04.68]

I only so when I did after son, I did it with obviously more Higgins, who is such an icon. She was on UK season 5, which is like one of the best seasons ever.

[00:03:06.28 - 00:03:32.14]

Ariana Selly, who was on a season of US Love Island, and Callum, who was on a season of Australia Love Island, and then they had Like three people who had recently been dumped That week or four people. actually, you only interact with people that have been dumped from the villa. But it's so cool too, because you're like, I know everything. Yeah, especially this one girl, live, who was just so cool. She's like she.

[00:03:32.14 - 00:03:49.54]

I feel like we could like, would be friends with her, and she was so sweet. She's from Australia and like, so I was really happy to get to meet her. Um, But yeah, it was just such a surreal thing. and then at one point we're like when we finished, because we finished kind of late. we're sitting there eating McDonald's and you just Like look over at the live feed and they're all just like sleeping.

1
Speaker 1
[00:03:50.58 - 00:04:02.66]

Like, I feel weird watching them all just like asleep. I mean, I'm sure that's something they have to put out of their brain, that It's like 24-7. you're getting watched. So you just have to get used to it and like try not to think about it. Well, yeah, cuz I mean I mind if Ariana watch me sleep, though.

[00:04:02.66 - 00:04:07.76]

So, like I'm like you, there's worse people to have watch you, and I mean they know about and they definitely forget that there's.

2
Speaker 2
[00:04:07.76 - 00:04:20.08]

Cameras, because it's just. it's like, very like big brother. There's cameras like in the walls. There's cameras, like, you know, CTV style. They're wearing mics the entire time, But you know, they don't know who, like else, is outside.

[00:04:20.54 - 00:04:30.00]

They don't they have they just they have to put out their brain, but it feels very much like human experiment, Because they just are inside these walls. How long was the actual?

1
Speaker 1
[00:04:30.62 - 00:04:36.24]

Filming that you like. when you guys recorded your segment, like how long did it take? or is it six hours? Oh, okay,

2
Speaker 2
[00:04:36.24 - 00:04:51.56]

So it was long. So the first segment was me, Ariana Mora. Then it was me, Callum Sally with Maura. then they brought out Live with us. Then it was the other Three islanders that was dumped, then it.

[00:04:51.56 - 00:05:06.90]

then they brought Ariana out. So in each one, I mean it was like 15 minutes, but then they edited down to an hour, right? So it was what I didn't. I had no idea how long we'd be taping, for we started around like four And ended around.

1
Speaker 1
[00:05:07.96 - 00:05:12.82]

Ten. Wow, it was a long. it was long. We looked so hot. They loved you, pretty in pink.

2
Speaker 2
[00:05:12.82 - 00:05:30.96]

I know I feel like I wanted to get out of my typical black You know, emo And wear something colorful, because I was in Fiji, felt like only right to be in something. That was like Colorful. it felt very Love Island esque. It's very high Barbie.

1
Speaker 1
[00:05:30.96 - 00:05:47.02]

But then also it seemed like all Ariana's outfits are amazing, But she does not wear black, and the way that we do so it's also. I felt like it matched perfectly with her, because she Always is wearing like colors or jewel, tones or gold, or you know what I mean? So like. I thought it was a perfect complimentary and like, loved her blue dress, too. She's beautiful.

2
Speaker 2
[00:05:47.02 - 00:05:57.54]

Yeah, Carl, who's the hair guy on set? He was like you guys look like the fairies from Sleeping Beauty. We're like now it's blue, now. It's pink. And I was like, oh my god, that's so right.

[00:05:57.84 - 00:06:18.86]

But yeah, it was such a like Amazing experience to be there. and just I feel like I just lifted The curtain, the veil on things, and not in a bad way, because, like where they film, The after Sun is right by where they do all the challenges. So it's like on the little hill above the villa. So when you're up there, you can see down into the villa. We're like they're like one of the fire pits.

[00:06:18.86 - 00:06:27.04]

I think it is the fire pit. Mm-hmm me. No, it's one of them. So I was like Blue down there. It was so fun.

[00:06:27.20 - 00:06:28.78]

How much downtime did you get? Cuz, I saw okay.

1
Speaker 1
[00:06:28.78 - 00:06:39.28]

How do you feel about working on a vacation? I mean I saw you in the gym there, But typically I'm like so against that. so I was like what is you there for five days? I could not believe you guys were working out. I get an.

[00:06:39.28 - 00:06:40.52]

Ariana has been there.

2
Speaker 2
[00:06:40.52 - 00:07:08.66]

Well, it was technically for because I lost a day, cuz BG's 19 hours ahead. So I I didn't. I flew Tuesday night, skipped Wednesday, landed Thursday morning, crazy, crazy. And then, when I got there Thursday, they took me to this like marina area to do like a Glam sort of shoot thing, and it took a while because they were also filming something else. So I had to wait a little bit until they were finished with that.

[00:07:09.58 - 00:07:26.72]

because in the opening spot, when they're like, oh and Ariana has a Vanderpump Rules reunion, and Then they show me, so they had to shoot that on Thursday and then I went out to dinner with everybody. But I mean I was. that's what I was there for to do. So it's kind of like. well, I, this is what I'm here for.

[00:07:26.90 - 00:07:41.14]

I'm staying a little bit longer to also enjoy Fiji, but also, yeah, going to the gym. Well, that's, you know, Ariana's there. She's also working, and you know, I wanted to, like, I was hanging out with her. So I'm like, well, if you're going to the gym, I guess I'm going to the gym. Am I gonna do?

[00:07:41.14 - 00:07:47.48]

I could have, like, gone and laid out, you know, But I would be just hanging by myself, but you know, yeah, it was fine.

1
Speaker 1
[00:07:48.32 - 00:07:54.94]

Welcome back. I can't you seem fresh as a daisy. I can't believe. with all I'm, the time change, but I know you said it's only technically like five hours behind.

2
Speaker 2
[00:07:54.94 - 00:08:14.58]

But tomorrow, in terms of like, where I'd be at in the day time of, or you know, timing, I'd be just five hours earlier. So, but that's an easy adjustment to make. but It's like just like the traveling of it. all that wears you out, but I feel I feel pretty good, actually happy to be back. I'm happy to have you back.

[00:08:14.66 - 00:08:16.70]

I mean I would have stayed, but I'm happy to also be back.

1
Speaker 1
[00:08:16.70 - 00:08:25.12]

Yeah, well, in the future, because we've talked about going there for vacation, Do you feel like it's doable if you stay there for at least a week? Oh, yeah, with the flight. Oh.

2
Speaker 2
[00:08:25.12 - 00:08:48.50]

Yeah, I mean you have to like plan a little bit longer of a trip. just because of the time change, You're gonna lose an entire day. So Yeah, no, it's, it's the airports like from where we stayed, Like less than 30 minutes, 30 minutes top. so it's, you know, it's not one of those things where you like fly in and then you got to drive an hour plus and All that is very easy and accessible. Well, you got a text also quiz.

1
Speaker 1
[00:08:48.50 - 00:09:18.20]

I know, since I don't watch it and I only watch like Your part, Ariana's part. I was talking to Raleigh and Katie about it. We went and saw long legs on Friday and They were. they have been watching Love Island from day one, act, one, scene, one, just like all of you, freaks, and they are like beyond Even like they don't have words big enough to express how well Ariana is doing and how much I mean, obviously I think she's doing great. But like I do not have context and they're like, no, she's like it, like absolutely killing it.

2
Speaker 2
[00:09:18.20 - 00:09:50.42]

No, she's slaying the game like none other. it has some good hosts in the in the past, But, like Ariana, because she is, she's such a big fan of the show as well and I think that really matters, because you have to really care and get involved and care about the, The people on the show and what goes into it and how. you know, the whole thing works And I and she really brings that to the experience and I paint, think people feel that totally Like she's not just like clocking in and clocking out like she really gives a shit totally.

1
Speaker 1
[00:09:50.42 - 00:09:54.08]

No, she's getting out of bed at night and like looking at the cameras, being like what's happening in there.

2
Speaker 2
[00:09:54.08 - 00:10:00.54]

Yeah, like she loves to go and like watch my face, So she's saying she's seeing everything and more than what everyone else is seeing. So I bet.

1
Speaker 1
[00:10:02.56 - 00:10:11.04]

Okay, wait, hi Allison. hi Allison's with us today. Your new mom usually it's Leia. so now we're gonna. we have else know where's Leia?

[00:10:11.04 - 00:10:26.76]

Leia, is she having a baby? She's not having a baby yet, but she's getting real close to having a baby. So we might do you know if we have her this week? We have her this week, but, and I think that's I think her baby's like her baby's been ready. It's running Babies in position and been in position.

[00:10:26.76 - 00:10:28.82]

the beef plucking claws should be pluckers.

2
Speaker 2
[00:10:28.82 - 00:10:29.16]

You know what?

1
Speaker 1
[00:10:29.22 - 00:10:38.42]

I should put my money where my mouth is, cuz I said on one of our first episodes that I thought I could deliver a baby. So I think Leia should not go to the hospital and we should just do this thing in studio. Yeah.

2
Speaker 2
[00:10:38.42 - 00:10:40.12]

Oh, she does go to labor.

1
Speaker 1
[00:10:41.00 - 00:10:44.06]

We're ready. Don't call the doctor, call us.

[00:10:45.80 - 00:10:52.02]

I Trust those beef plushes, more than like Celsius, be like scalpel.

2
Speaker 2
[00:10:54.00 - 00:10:59.74]

Are you doctor? is there a doctor in house? Yes, I know kind of, basically kind of, and I'm over here like I'm ready.

1
Speaker 1
[00:11:01.20 - 00:11:07.16]

Her Baby's tracking to be enormous. So she has. she has a large baby happening and.

2
Speaker 2
[00:11:07.98 - 00:11:11.70]

Leia's a tiny gal. Leia's a tiny tiny angel.

1
Speaker 1
[00:11:11.70 - 00:11:28.14]

So I'm not sure what is exactly happening in utero, but it looks like something is going on. So Allison will be with us intermittently. We're very excited to have you. so, hi, happy to be here, thrilled, thrilled, thrilled. We're just so fucking happy to be back with you that we're like, okay, who is on your daddy list?

2
Speaker 2
[00:11:28.14 - 00:11:48.24]

Okay. Well, I think let's just both go with the Jets. It's on my daddy. I Am obsessed with Jets. we and I mean, okay, this is showing some insane amount of like privilege, But I don't care because, like for me, travel is like such, My favorite thing to do.

[00:11:48.46 - 00:11:57.26]

Yeah, but Jet suite is such a luxury that I hope I'm always able to take advantage of, because it's like they call it like semi-private.

1
Speaker 1
[00:11:57.26 - 00:12:02.80]

Private? is it because you're with a bunch of strangers? I don't know. Yeah, they have like smaller planes.

2
Speaker 2
[00:12:02.80 - 00:12:23.96]

It's like 30 passengers, which is like, if you ever fly, like sort of a shorter distance, you know, Sometimes you're on these types of planes anyways, But it's at a Burbank which is so close to where we both live and you only are required to show up like 30 minutes before the flight, and their TSA is like basically, they like.

1
Speaker 1
[00:12:24.96 - 00:12:39.12]

It's dangerous. I would say, cuz they look at you and like, yeah, that's fine. But I mean, I think that's one of the things that's so luxurious is the separate hanger, because you, it's just. it's not even just That you're on a small plane and you have more room. It's the fact that you don't have to deal with the chaos.

[00:12:39.12 - 00:12:43.86]

It's so seamless. you go in, you give them your bags, you walk through a metal detector.

2
Speaker 2
[00:12:43.86 - 00:13:02.26]

They swab your bag for the same, the same essential, like things that they would check for. You know, yeah, it's amazing. Yeah, we loved it. and because, because the flight is so short from LA to Vegas, You want the whole process to be just as short? I mean from the time I leave my house to the hotel in Vegas.

[00:13:02.26 - 00:13:11.54]

It's like less than two hours. It's Wonderful. It's so wonderful. So yeah, just wait. You're on the daddy list forever on, and it's obviously a huge privilege.

1
Speaker 1
[00:13:11.54 - 00:13:20.34]

Yes, we're aware, like you guys, I didn't travel growing up. So yeah, that's, I'm like eight-year-old. me could see this be like damn. You got to go to a river once a year for your vacation. Literally, what's up?

[00:13:20.34 - 00:13:23.14]

Crescent bar? Like. that's what we did. So, you know, okay.

2
Speaker 2
[00:13:23.14 - 00:13:45.34]

There's one other thing that's on my daddy list, and it's it's like a thing that someone does When somebody move, like, moves a piece of hair out of your face. Mmm, that's so, daddy. It is daddy like the way I'm like, oh, and in a way that they're not just like currently, you know, But the one they're just like with like a finger. they just like intentional. I'm like, okay.

1
Speaker 1
[00:13:45.34 - 00:13:47.56]

They're not really sure that that hair was bothering you.

2
Speaker 2
[00:13:47.56 - 00:14:02.10]

but they just wanted everything to touch your face and they just do it not only like while you're talking. if someone does it like While I'm talking, I'm like, I forget everything. like I'm wet, I forget my name everywhere. I am like, I just will freeze. I'm just like, thank you more, please.

1
Speaker 1
[00:14:02.10 - 00:14:07.34]

Thank you more, please. This entire podcast is becoming a list of things that make you freeze. So now it's how we know you.

2
Speaker 2
[00:14:08.22 - 00:14:11.84]

Freezing for different reasons. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. What else is that?

[00:14:11.84 - 00:14:12.52]

a daddy list?

1
Speaker 1
[00:14:12.52 - 00:14:32.46]

If I was like, I like when they pull a hair at my butt, crack out of the shower. I'm just kidding. my other one on daddy lists are people at abortion clinics that troll the Evil, horrible people that try to bother the people going in. There's Some tick-tock that that's all they do is post narcotics. They wear the vest and they have the umbrellas.

[00:14:32.46 - 00:14:58.56]

and like when the people try to speak and they're like, oh, Let us help you save your baby, They like blow a duck whistle in their face. or like every time they try to speak and they like twerk on them from a respectable distance. and it's just like those people are doing the Lord's work. those people who might need abortion services are already in such a horrible, horrible situation and like it's just and Something so private and and vulnerable and like those people spending their time protecting them is just amazing. Like I kind of want to do that.

[00:14:58.56 - 00:15:04.94]

Like, I wonder if there's people like how I volunteer to be a specific abortion clinic. troll, cuz daddy is forever.

2
Speaker 2
[00:15:04.94 - 00:15:09.62]

There's probably the same people that are The ones that escort.

1
Speaker 1
[00:15:10.18 - 00:15:19.16]

Yeah, I think yeah. So maybe do some of them just have the flair for, like the theatrics, cuz I'm like. am I a thespian? I feel confused when I get the histrionics for it. Okay.

[00:15:19.26 - 00:15:25.32]

Yeah, absolutely. So daddy lists for me because it makes me. I'm sure it means so much wet patients. It's hot.

[00:15:27.58 - 00:15:31.20]

Holy fuck, we have so much to talk about. I know, because we haven't been here.

2
Speaker 2
[00:15:31.20 - 00:15:42.38]

We've done. we've done a lot to besides going to Fiji Before that. prior to that, we went. we took a visit to the surface of the Sun, also known as Las Vegas, Which was ungodly?

1
Speaker 1
[00:15:43.94 - 00:15:56.12]

My god, I joke about this all the time because I'm from the Pacific Northwest. I'm always like, mmm, I feel comfortable from like 68 degrees to 78. anything above or below that. I don't do. well, Holy fuck.

[00:15:56.12 - 00:16:07.98]

we went to the surface of the Sun. We look, we made a choice to go to Las Vegas in July. We went for less than 24 hours. We're there for 24 hours for Blink-182 concert and people didn't see it. the last few times.

[00:16:08.04 - 00:16:17.58]

I've been to Vegas, It was like October. So I haven't been in the summertime. Oh, you've never have in. Oh, so maybe I was like maybe like 21 or 22 the last time I went. so it's been years.

[00:16:18.62 - 00:16:29.34]

It was at night. you guys, we get out of this concert and we'll get into it. But we get out of the concert and it's still like a hundred and eight degrees, like you're having trouble breathing because the oven is preheating.

2
Speaker 2
[00:16:29.90 - 00:16:38.62]

Yeah, like it was so hot, like the wind is hot, it just like blows, and it just feels like just it's so.

1
Speaker 1
[00:16:40.44 - 00:16:49.72]

With the opacity of something that is gonna be with you for life. you are concerned. you look at it. It's, it's the. it's a color of, it's milky.

[00:16:49.88 - 00:17:03.34]

It's, it's milky, It's milky, and it's at a temperature that I think fungi would thrive, happen. It's yeah, It's. it's basically like if swamp ass was a body of water like it just is not it, and but you get in it.

2
Speaker 2
[00:17:03.34 - 00:17:08.10]

It's sweat. It's it's secretion. It's blood tears.

1
Speaker 1
[00:17:09.16 - 00:17:15.32]

P E coli, a hot dog fights, but then I'm like no, Katie don't, it's not a clean one.

[00:17:17.06 - 00:17:20.38]

Yeah, so we took jet sweep. I had never done that before.

2
Speaker 2
[00:17:21.06 - 00:17:29.08]

We take the jet suite to Vegas, we get there. we were like, well, we should probably go to the pool. Let's spend some time outside.

1
Speaker 1
[00:17:29.88 - 00:17:35.32]

Yes, we would have done it anyway, but to be fair, our hotel wasn't ready. So our room wasn't ready. So we're like, let's go to the pool.

2
Speaker 2
[00:17:35.32 - 00:17:40.70]

Yeah, I don't want to like, really like walk around a casino and like gamble. that wasn't, that wasn't the vibe of the trip.

1
Speaker 1
[00:17:41.28 - 00:17:51.86]

No, it wasn't actually speaking of Daddyless Elzen. This is gonna make you smile. Obviously, you know what I did. I immediately went to the casino thing and I was like, where are your camel crushes period?

[00:17:54.56 - 00:18:07.96]

So I had some real contraband II camel crushes, but anyway, so we did. that went to the pool. You walk outside, you have to like sit in the shade under the misters. You, it's. you cannot be in a direct exposure of the Sun for more than like 10 seconds.

[00:18:08.06 - 00:18:23.62]

It's unbearable. So we got a little David daybed and we're like talking to the people, trying to figure out how much that's gonna set us back. and This little girl comes out and she's like really like wrestling around. and I like, look down at her and I'm like all annoyed, like Why are you like a girl? What do you need help?

[00:18:23.64 - 00:18:29.58]

And then she, I like, took a step back and then Katie goes. She doesn't have shoes on and her feet are burning.

2
Speaker 2
[00:18:29.58 - 00:18:33.88]

So she was getting in the. there's like one little patch of shade and right next to Dana.

1
Speaker 1
[00:18:35.64 - 00:18:42.34]

Where are your keepers, but no, I don't say anything. during. I was like, do you need something? and she was like Oh, do you need a time? She was shaking.

[00:18:42.42 - 00:18:44.30]

So I thought she was cold. I was like, it's so hot.

2
Speaker 2
[00:18:45.42 - 00:18:47.46]

She was burning alive.

[00:18:52.94 - 00:18:55.38]

Just just the salt of her feet were just.

1
Speaker 1
[00:18:56.52 - 00:19:02.46]

Singeing because our friend got a third-degree burn not six minutes later. So it was. you know, I obviously felt terrible.

2
Speaker 2
[00:19:02.46 - 00:19:09.26]

So we get in this day bed because you know, it's what's really great in Vegas and the heat metal on the ground iconic stuff.

1
Speaker 1
[00:19:09.26 - 00:19:12.42]

Yeah, really? There's always a time in a place for it. Let's put metal.

2
Speaker 2
[00:19:13.06 - 00:19:18.58]

Steps that went up to a little day bed. we were in and on the ledge of the steps they had those like little, like metal like.

1
Speaker 1
[00:19:19.72 - 00:19:26.00]

Like, what are they? what is that? I don't know. I just think that they're there. you can't slip because they hate women.

[00:19:26.00 - 00:19:32.08]

I don't know. Yeah, it's slip proof. I don't know. You don't like slip out down the edge of it. No, there.

[00:19:32.24 - 00:19:39.64]

Yeah, it was. nothing was gonna help, but so floor took her shoes off, wasn't looking and step directly on it, and then Actually, I mean I was in the bathroom. Did she run right to the pool?

2
Speaker 2
[00:19:40.40 - 00:19:41.52]

Yeah, she Pulled.

[00:19:43.20 - 00:19:46.58]

Just kept stepping on. now. They're like even hotter surface of the ground.

1
Speaker 1
[00:19:46.58 - 00:19:57.52]

So she put her fresh wound in the cesspool to cool it down. So, I mean I haven't talked to her today. We should probably check on her, cuz we just don't know. like does she well?

2
Speaker 2
[00:19:57.52 - 00:20:09.72]

She did it again Ten minutes later. So when they're telling us the cost of this thing, that's my favorite thing. girl map Mm-hmm. We're like, you know, that's like 200 bucks each. But also Vegas is so expensive.

[00:20:09.72 - 00:20:20.74]

those drinks are like $40 a pop, which they are. yeah, so we're like that'll be easy, We're? we order more than we could drink. We also spilled more than we could. we Spilled nothing.

[00:20:20.86 - 00:20:27.74]

I spilled one. I knocked it over because those lids They made that they boo. we trapped those things because those lids barely sat on top.

1
Speaker 1
[00:20:27.74 - 00:20:44.00]

They, barely clipped over the edge of the same guys who stick the metal slats on the stairs, were like hey, Let's get giant cups full of blended margarita and let's just make it a ticking time bomb. Let's not really secure it on there, Let's just make it enough that it that the heel of that cup just barely touches the ground.

2
Speaker 2
[00:20:44.00 - 00:20:58.78]

There's an explosion. if you blow on it. It's just gonna blow right off. Yeah, so like we order, We just to like round out our tab. We're like, alright, let's just like order in drinks Whatever we need to to meet the minimum Please minimum of what we need to spend.

[00:20:58.78 - 00:21:06.86]

so we do that knowing how fragile these cups were. Floor, because we got to carry now all these drinks back. Dana's carrying a case of water.

1
Speaker 1
[00:21:09.16 - 00:21:15.90]

Hydration girly, and I was like no, okay, Give us the water, give us the crudite, like everything that we give us, like all these drinks.

2
Speaker 2
[00:21:15.90 - 00:21:22.72]

So we have to, like we only have so many hands. floor decides to also put two of these things in a paper bag.

[00:21:24.26 - 00:21:32.70]

These things are condescending. Condensation is this? these drinks are sweating and I'm just like I don't know if I trust these bags. I just feel like, maybe be careful. She goes.

[00:21:32.78 - 00:21:33.96]

No, I got it. I got it.

1
Speaker 1
[00:21:34.90 - 00:21:41.30]

Get an elevator. She did not got it. The narrator says in this moment. She really, she fucked up.

2
Speaker 2
[00:21:42.10 - 00:22:01.02]

We get an elevator to go down to the lobby because our room was ready. the elevator stops. the minute the elevator stops, There's like five other people in the elevator with us. the bottom of the bag just gives out these giant Cups with these frozen margaritas. just spill out all over the floor, all over the floor.

1
Speaker 1
[00:22:01.02 - 00:22:15.36]

You know, elevator is doing the lemonade film. when Beyonce walks out of the water room in that yellow dress and you see her like Gorgeous feet walking the stairs and all the water. that is literally what it looked like, but with frozen margarita and plumber Mm-hmm, that's we. the doors open and it was just like.

2
Speaker 2
[00:22:16.30 - 00:22:24.96]

And I'm just sitting there not wanting to do that. I told you, But this is how it like these flimsy bags. we were all in shock.

1
Speaker 1
[00:22:24.96 - 00:22:44.64]

We just stood there and then I believe it was floor. I'd wish we need to say initially floors, amazing, obviously, But I think she went with her. she starts swiping, it wouldn't into the fucking, like a lot of the in mind. Okay, so it's like we're working with girl math, Heat, exhaustion and we're drunk. So we have to keep all of these factors in mind.

[00:22:44.64 - 00:22:51.70]

But she started doing that and I was just like walked out of the elevator. Let's go. Are you doing it? Let's go. Yeah, let's fucking go.

[00:22:51.70 - 00:23:02.86]

We alerted us. I alerted a staffer and it was like I want to go to the room now and shower. I mean disappear quiet time. We haven't even gotten to getting ready for the concerts. We should probably Reason we were there.

[00:23:03.06 - 00:23:06.02]

Did we discuss? No, we, I barely said it.

2
Speaker 2
[00:23:06.02 - 00:23:10.58]

We were going to see blink-182. pierce the veil. Hell. Yeah, get ready.

1
Speaker 1
[00:23:10.58 - 00:23:25.50]

We're a little hungover, but we get, you know, get it back together. We go, we walk outside and it is again. It's like gone from a hundred and twelve to a hundred and ten and a half and we're like, okay, chill, chill, chill. Luckily, we're inside a big stadium. Like it had been outdoors.

[00:23:25.60 - 00:23:31.00]

I would have killed over floors. husband. He's in a band, He's in the music industry. So we got. we had great tickets.

[00:23:31.12 - 00:23:38.92]

We were right there. The stage was really cool. We were right up front for peel pierce the veil, this man. We were like going into the pit. I'm obviously happy to go into a pit, but it was.

[00:23:38.92 - 00:23:41.82]

I'm not every Katie's, not as much. so we start to go in and Katie's.

2
Speaker 2
[00:23:41.82 - 00:23:50.14]

Like not having it for as much as I would love to be right there for peace. I just I also like to hang back a little bit like personal space. I want to be up there, butthole.

1
Speaker 1
[00:23:50.14 - 00:23:57.60]

So we, but I were. so we're like Katie's, like. so we're gonna leave. and then this guy who works there, kind of like looks Me, goes like this and I thought he doesn't work there. He worked there.

[00:23:57.88 - 00:24:03.10]

Yeah, he was, I don't think so. He was a guy who worked. he toyed a shirt on like a staff shirt. No, he did not.

2
Speaker 2
[00:24:04.30 - 00:24:11.50]

He had a staffer. I don't think no girl. I don't think he was standing right next to us with his friend. His friend was a tall guy right next to me. Okay, let's ask floor about it, because let's split the difference.

1
Speaker 1
[00:24:11.94 - 00:24:20.04]

Okay, well, no, maybe I was responding to his authority. Yeah, he just. he just was like he. he grabbed me because I thought he was saying get out of here.

2
Speaker 2
[00:24:20.04 - 00:24:22.40]

I think I was going like this. He was standing right?

1
Speaker 1
[00:24:23.14 - 00:24:33.76]

Well, I was like cuz. I thought he recognized floors. I think knew who, because another girl had just come to, perhaps like we love your husband or whatever. So anyway, he pulls us up in the middle of. so I'm excited.

[00:24:33.76 - 00:24:46.42]

But then he keeps going and he takes us to the front. and I hate to be those people, But I also really love to be at the front. So we sat there and I'm kind of trying to shrink. We're tall and they stuck me at that. when you're at the front of a rail, you know how they have that thick plastic thing.

[00:24:46.42 - 00:24:57.34]

It's another, adds another five inches or, and I'm like standing on it. And so I'm like looking like lurch, trying to hide in front of, like the monster on the hill. But Pierce fails. great, amazing. Very fun, amazing.

[00:24:57.48 - 00:25:10.18]

We took a break, came back. We were at the back now of that area, the pit for blink. they start, daddy. Oh, when they came out, they're like you just got everyone really horned up. You could just feel how horny the stadium was, just the energy.

[00:25:10.18 - 00:25:19.86]

and like them, walking out slowly and like getting all their shit, I'm going on stage. I was like. So you guys went backstage to see? To Pierce. you were going to hang out.

[00:25:19.96 - 00:25:24.82]

Yeah. Yeah, and I was like, no. No, I'm unable to leave here. now This is where I live. I see a pit forming.

[00:25:24.82 - 00:25:41.62]

So I'm staying here. my favorite bling song, easy target, Which was on our email night playlist, started playing and I went in the mosh pit with a banana and we went. I got smacked in the head with a banana in a nice way. Not I mean why, like in a, it happens way, but I really came alive out. There was a baby.

[00:25:42.22 - 00:25:51.00]

I loved it. It was so fun. So I'm glad I didn't miss it, and then we ended up all meeting back up, but the show was amazing. they so good they threw.

2
Speaker 2
[00:25:51.94 - 00:25:59.30]

Sperm confetti in the air at the end. Yeah, which was a really nice visual, just like it all just swimming down to your face.

1
Speaker 1
[00:26:02.70 - 00:26:17.94]

I Like a little in-between songs. all of a sudden I think it was mark was like bad. Just so like. they're just still as Immature and silly as they were the day that they came out and we really grew up with them. So I cried a bunch of times because I was just like being emo and just having such a fun time.

[00:26:17.96 - 00:26:18.50]

It was amazing.

2
Speaker 2
[00:26:18.50 - 00:26:29.44]

It was so good I came out and When we came back out to like, after we were back talking with those guys, We came out and I saw like mark was playing like a rock-paper-scissors with someone.

[00:26:31.44 - 00:26:33.84]

Didn't you get? I thought you had a video. I do have it. Oh, yeah, you did.

1
Speaker 1
[00:26:33.84 - 00:26:52.96]

Mm-hmm. They're just so cute and playful and like we love them. I know I'm so good, blink forever. so an amazing concert and also JetSuite then made the next day much easier to quickly get up and go, get on a plane and Come home after 24 hours in Vegas is Plenty. Oh, yeah, that was amazing.

[00:26:53.10 - 00:26:53.96]

2
Speaker 2
[00:32:12.94 - 00:32:19.12]

Why I'm gonna stop. No, you're not removing a rib. I'm gonna entertain this.

1
Speaker 1
[00:32:19.12 - 00:32:48.04]

okay, so I saw this thing on tick-tock and this he's one of the only plastic surgeons in the country that does it. he Does rib removal and there was like rumors in the 90s about a problematic? Singer that had had his ribs removed so he could flate himself, and I don't know how true that is, I don't care. So back in my spine days your, your, your t12 and t11 vertebral bodies have two floating ribs. Those or, if it's your t10 that's attached to the front Interior posterior part of your body, hoping it's that one.

[00:32:48.04 - 00:32:59.24]

cuz mine really do stick flare. I have ripped, I do too, but crazy, crazy red flare. So he basically made the point he was like cuz I would not get a be a BBL. No offense, anyone has them. It's just like dangerous and not worth the risk.

[00:32:59.34 - 00:33:10.96]

Like, I love a nose job. I love something permanent. but Yeah, he basically was like, for I have a very like, boxy, just straight body. It's just how it is. Someone described it as a boy body.

[00:33:10.96 - 00:33:27.96]

someone described it as athletic, whatever, and they're like it gives you like the BBL effect, cuz it kind of No matches you up. and I reached out Girl, oh, I don't feel like it's that crazy. He said it's super safe. I'm gonna do my research, obviously, but is that the craziest thing you've ever heard? I don't feel like it is.

[00:33:28.64 - 00:33:40.02]

Yeah, I thought it looked good. the results, It's like dr. Donor or something in Ohio. You can look it up if you want Allison, but I'm judging you. I think that's a little rib removal.

[00:33:40.02 - 00:33:45.44]

I mean, it's I've seen them in spine surgery when they need it to gain access to the anatomy. They yeah to do that.

2
Speaker 2
[00:33:45.44 - 00:33:54.36]

But yeah, for like medical emergency reasons, perhaps not just for like it, don't? I just feel like you need your ribs to protect your lungs and protect your organs.

1
Speaker 1
[00:33:55.58 - 00:34:01.68]

Yeah, So, I just don't know Do we need them, though? Do we need all of them? I don't know.

2
Speaker 2
[00:34:01.68 - 00:34:08.40]

I have like an extra like. I have an extra like orbital rib on my neck that comes around here.

1
Speaker 1
[00:34:11.24 - 00:34:11.64]

Okay,

[00:34:13.40 - 00:34:17.46]

well, that's my quick thing. I feel like you were gonna have something to say about it, but yeah.

2
Speaker 2
[00:34:17.46 - 00:34:33.06]

No, I'm, listen, I'm all for doing things that like make you happy and things like that. But like I don't know, like I just feel like that Could lead to problems or like I don't know what if, like you, got in like a car accident and like you, broke. I don't know. I just I think about like worst-case scenarios and it's like damn, if only you had.

1
Speaker 1
[00:34:34.34 - 00:34:42.92]

Fuck, I could use my ribs right now. Uh-huh. No, literally. Anyway, you're on tik-tok shop. I am getting my ribs removed.

[00:34:43.04 - 00:34:43.72]

We are not the same.

2
Speaker 2
[00:34:47.72 - 00:34:53.06]

Jesus. Okay, now I'm gonna only be thinking about your ribs, speaking of bloody anatomy.

1
Speaker 1
[00:34:53.06 - 00:35:03.62]

Let's talk about vampires, because what the fuck. this is gonna end up being a spooky whole thing, because you and I have both have so many spooky stories, but What do you think's going on? Things are weird in the world, right?

2
Speaker 2
[00:35:03.76 - 00:35:38.38]

Okay, so obviously there's been tick tocks of people telling stories about how they're. they have met Vampires IRL, and there's a lot of like people, people that have drive for, like Lyft and uber. Mm-hmm, and these people vampires, Getting into their cars and them giving them rides and just like their experiences with them, like the woman in New Orleans Who had a woman get into her car and she couldn't remember so much the entire experience, But could definitely remember sort of what her mouth looked like, what her voice sounded like At one point. she's driving. She's like the car wasn't moving.

[00:35:38.38 - 00:35:47.82]

my hands on the steering wheel, She touched me and said don't worry. I'm not gonna hurt you. She's like in the next thing. I know she goes. I look back her while her pan is like on me and I look at her.

[00:35:47.82 - 00:36:00.36]

but then, By the time I turn, I look at her. she's sitting back in her hands, on her lap And she goes what? what did you just do before that? She was explained that she was telling her how, like she had such great energy and the woman, you know The driver was like, thank you. Like.

[00:36:00.36 - 00:36:08.06]

I really appreciate that. Thanks. So when she asks her like, what did you just do? she explains her like you're not gonna believe me, but I.

[00:36:09.72 - 00:36:32.54]

Am a vampire and I just leeched your energy, an energy vampire. So yeah, so she explains that you know the Colin Robinson of it all there's. yeah, there are Vampires that feed off of energy, Good energy, some feed off bad energy, some feed off of sexual energy and some feed off of blood. She could, she was like me. She's like, yeah, So she was.

[00:36:32.54 - 00:36:56.66]

I'm a vampire, but not like the ones that you all speak about and hear about, you know, Like I'm gonna suck your blood kind of thing. She's like. those exist, but they're a lot few and far between the ones like her or Exists more prevalent, Prevalently. and she just heard about how, like New Orleans is a great place for them to live and be, because I don't know Voodoo. Yeah, and just like it's freaky.

[00:36:58.94 - 00:37:03.26]

Yeah, there's that, and like all the different people that are coming in and out constantly,

1
Speaker 1
[00:37:04.50 - 00:37:06.00]

But very haunted city.

2
Speaker 2
[00:37:06.00 - 00:37:24.66]

but yeah, it's just like, and she just is like I. I don't the fact that that's all she can remember about the Interaction, and she's like I feel like she put something in my brain that wanted me to know and remember, like this fact about Her and the vampires, but just like, yeah, that she just wanted to feed on her good energy.

1
Speaker 1
[00:37:25.12 - 00:37:43.48]

so What the fuck? I'm bet the rest of the energy vampires are watching her. yap and like, okay, I'm pretty sure we all agreed in night or 1210 that we were not gonna tell anyone about this, like remember when they're. I just think that we should not. and she's just like Gabbing away to a Lyft driver.

[00:37:43.48 - 00:38:08.88]

the one I saw I think it was Chicago or something, But hers was a group of four and she basically yeah, Yeah, and they she's. there was two blondes, two brunettes, and they, she's like their skin did not look. this is why I believe her. She would not honor about like pale but not pale. So that's the reason I believe her, because when I was 15 I had a ghost attached to me that I lived with for several years and It was a little boy when there was a older woman, goes to and is a whole thing.

[00:38:08.88 - 00:38:39.10]

But the little boy is the one that was attached to me and the first time I actually saw him I was like pulling into my driveway at night and my he would always open my blinds, Like I would always close them, and he'd always open them. So I got home at night and I was like just look in the window, Nothing's gonna be there and my blinds were open. all the other Windows in the house were closed and he was sitting there like this, and so you could only see from his lips up and his Skin look exactly like that the way she described it. It was so pale. It was almost translucent, but not translucent, kind of like purpley, like the most pale pale I knew.

[00:38:39.10 - 00:38:44.64]

in that moment she was telling the truth, because I've literally seen it and the darkest black brown eyes, and he had a bowl cut and.

2
Speaker 2
[00:38:44.64 - 00:38:49.22]

She. she said these guys had blue eyes like well, yeah, cuz mine was a yeah.

1
Speaker 1
[00:38:49.22 - 00:39:00.74]

Yeah, hers is a vampire. So yeah, she said she's like. they had these like crystal blue eyes. They got in my car and she was like, I don't know how I knew this. There was a knowing about me that they were vampires and same thing happened.

[00:39:00.74 - 00:39:21.24]

One of them leaned forward and touched her shoulder and but didn't say to her you're gonna be fine She, I think they glamored her. what some people call glamour, you know how they like, can hypnotize you vampire. so I think hers were of the blood variety and they like. she all of a sudden felt better and was just kind of chill. and then, when they're like pulling up to Their car, he was basically like.

[00:39:21.24 - 00:39:38.48]

I'm gonna answer a question and basically it's gonna define if you go home or not. Like, in a weird way, he said that and he was like who should ride with who. and she was I'm gonna answer a question, I'm gonna ask a question and your answer will define if you go home tonight or not. and She, he was like he was. she was.

[00:39:38.48 - 00:39:56.58]

she was like, so I just grouped them by their hair color. It was like blondes stick together, brunettes stick together. and he was like excellent choice. You're gonna be safe the rest of the night and it was like New Year's. and she said, when she looked at them, their teeth They weren't normal human teeth, but it wasn't like Dracula Ivan to talk your blood, not those kind, but like a little bit pronounced canines and just.

[00:39:56.58 - 00:40:09.21]

they just didn't look right and They got out of the car and she finished driving the rest of the night. But she was like, I knew I was gonna be safe after that and they were just gone like that. So what is happening right now?

2
Speaker 2
[00:40:09.59 - 00:40:22.79]

Like why I was like why I'll send. people are just coming out of the woodwork to talk about they're coming out of the coffin. Well, a coming out, but like why? why is it suddenly like we're hearing these story? I don't know if it's like just the accessibility of tick-tock, but like.

1
Speaker 1
[00:40:23.65 - 00:40:39.75]

Huh, and now I've been stuck on the algorithm of other people sharing their spooky stories because I saw one about a shapeshifter. She was like. basically she responded and she was like look, I know, cuz they're like. stitch this and tell your story. She was like a little girl, had a really irresponsible babysitter is the 90s.

[00:40:39.75 - 00:40:55.13]

She goes out at night, the babysitters with her brother, and there's a jaguar underneath her tree and it turns its head and it has a white stripe and it's Super tall, like the shoulders of it are almost to the tree. So she's like screaming for the babysitter. babysitter comes out, Jaguars gone. She goes to bed. 30 minutes later There's a knock at her door.

[00:40:55.13 - 00:41:19.37]

She comes out of her bedroom and, like, looks down the stairs and the babysitter Let's in a man who's very, very pale, wearing all black, and when he turns his head to the side he had one like stripe of white hair. and so she, in that moment she knew it was a shapeshifter and she knew what it was, and The parents got home and she basically ratted her out that She had let a man in the house and the parents were basically like that is a cat. It wasn't a fucking Jaguar, but, Maria, you were fired. Like. I get that.

[00:41:19.45 - 00:41:23.87]

It's a 90s. He's like, can I use your phone? And she was like totally come on in.

2
Speaker 2
[00:41:23.87 - 00:41:32.19]

Dum-dum, did you see the guy telling the story? because he'd seen the one, the vampire one, and he's like. So this was back in like the early.

[00:41:33.87 - 00:41:57.17]

2000s and He's like, you know, It's of the time when we'd be making friends on my space and a lot of times, just like people live in your area, he's the guys into all kinds of like Spiritual stuff and like really crazy, you know, alien or like whatever things. and he's like and I certainly I made friends with this guy and eventually he's like Hey, like we like we should hang out. Do you want to like, come over? I can show you some like cool stuff. I found or stuff.

[00:41:57.23 - 00:42:07.69]

I'm into. and he's like sure, no problem. So he's like. he's like living with the kids, Brian at the time. He's a guy to print out directions, own map, quest, because that's where we're at.

[00:42:08.09 - 00:42:23.87]

He's like. so I show up to his house and he's like he lived in this, like Huge sprawling house, like mansion, pull into the driveway. It's like one of those, like round driveways and I had all these really nice cars and he like, comes into the driveway. He's like, okay. Well, so like.

[00:42:23.87 - 00:42:40.17]

what's this about? Like what your parents do, and he's very kind of like elusive about. he's like Oh, they're into, like everything he's like, but they're out of town. so he like, goes in and he's like the house like, felt like, very like Big and sprawling, like warehouse, but also felt like really cozy, like and lived in like. and he said, different, how, like.

[00:42:40.17 - 00:43:10.03]

different parts of the house are broken into, like, almost like different times and like Humanity and you will. and he's like at one point. and he also said, I can remember what he looked like but also like, not, I can remember what he sounded like, but like, not like, but I remember it. and Then he said he went to the bathroom at one point and then he like, found this book and this book was like, very much like illustrations about, like The progression or whatever of humanity, and it went from illustrations to like photographs. and he asked his friend, he's like what is this about?

[00:43:10.03 - 00:43:38.81]

and he like, was very like, matter-of-fact about it, and a lot of it was like, kind of like. a lot of people will talk about the Anunnaki, which is almost like alien species that supposedly humans were, I Don't know came from I, it's a theory. But so he was like, okay, wild, so he leaves. he calls his Friend. that was like a brother, and he's like, oh my god, this guy was like, Really interesting, this house was crazy, like, and so his brother was like, oh my god.

[00:43:38.83 - 00:43:52.05]

I want to meet him. He's like, sure, like we should go over there tomorrow. His parents are out of town like no problem. So the next day get in the car, pass the directions from the day before they drive over there. It's a field, The house doesn't exist.

[00:43:52.09 - 00:44:01.43]

It's not there, It's, he doesn't say, like whether or not he tried to reach out to the guy or not. But like, who knows. but like, what, like, so, was the house cloaked? was it? Was he an alien?

[00:44:01.43 - 00:44:06.03]

was he like? what was it? I don't know. I don't know, but I, what I do knows. I believe him.

1
Speaker 1
[00:44:06.53 - 00:44:20.15]

Yeah. So, I don't know if it's like a glitch in the matrix or they just Yeah, he just like clicks a button and it goes into a little suitcase and he, the guy, walks off with it. I don't know, but I believe that do well wait. Well, then, here's my question. We're talking about all this.

[00:44:20.15 - 00:44:27.05]

So you talked about aliens? Obviously, do you believe in vampires? Yes. Do I sound crazy for believing in them? I just asked you if I should get my ribs removed.

[00:44:27.17 - 00:44:42.65]

I think you sound fine, I believe in it. And again, I believe in it also because the source, like the people, I just believe them. like I do. I believe these people's stories and energy vampires, though I actually think that's a lot more common than people think that is a real, real thing. And well, I know some energy vampires.

[00:44:44.07 - 00:44:45.97]

Yeah, please, they say drain in.

2
Speaker 2
[00:44:46.37 - 00:45:01.63]

No, but actual energy, but I mean, why would this woman like, what do these people have to gain from telling a story? That of something that they experienced, that someone else told them? I mean, yeah, these people could be cuckoo crazy, or they could be telling the truth and people might say

1
Speaker 1
[00:45:01.63 - 00:45:26.47]

Oh, they're trying to monetize on tik-tok. here's the thing again, I can just tell they're telling the truth in the way they tell the story, because I for years did not tell my ghost stories, and it was like Lore at my high school, because high school kids were there when other things, like multiple people, had Shit happen to them. So when I went to college I didn't really talk about it because I didn't. a lot of people wouldn't believe me and I got it. I understood why that was, but I just didn't care.

[00:45:26.47 - 00:45:53.07]

I was like, I know what I've experienced, so it doesn't really matter for me and I don't care to get into this and then Shout out Courtney, best friend. back that day. We went to a junior high high school college together. She told someone in her sorority and that Yapping ass bitch ran around told everyone. and so then, like the next night, I basically told everyone the story and it was like a whole thing, but I Feels like the same way that they maybe didn't tell these stories for a long time, But just decided to do it and had nothing to gain other than like.

[00:45:53.07 - 00:45:54.01]

this is what happened to me.

2
Speaker 2
[00:45:54.01 - 00:46:05.65]

Like? I fully believe it. Do you believe that there's other, like parallel universes or dimensions That are thinly veiled to the ones that we live in a hundred percent?

1
Speaker 1
[00:46:05.65 - 00:46:17.57]

Someone was just talking about. and then what's his name? backed up the guy Like Neil, something with a with the beard, and he knows all the stuff about the nails, a grassy. Yeah, Yes, love him. a girl had been explaining it and then he, like, backed it up.

[00:46:17.57 - 00:46:30.99]

But basically it's like talking about the fabric of space and the way that things move. It's not just like this linear sheet that goes over it. when there's there's wormholes and black holes and whatever, like time Just does not work the same way. It's Blows my mind.

2
Speaker 2
[00:46:30.99 - 00:46:50.75]

So I think that there's so many other things. when really smart people like who can understand the physics of time and space, Continuum like that. I mean, I don't necessarily understand, I don't study like that, but it makes sense that when they can explain it in somewhat lamest terms, You're like fully this kid, This, this like big sense in my head. Absolutely.

1
Speaker 1
[00:46:50.75 - 00:47:13.35]

I mean we could stick foil hats on and be here all day because I could. I really do love talking about what a time travel. Yeah, I, that's so weird, because I did see something about that recently too that someone was like I can't remember now what the evidence was or what they said of what the person had Knew or whatever, and then that person was gone. But yeah, I think that anything is possible at this point. What do you think?

2
Speaker 2
[00:47:13.35 - 00:47:29.37]

Yeah, did you see the guy who was Capturing the guy leaving his shed and like yeah, Yeah, there was like he would come, that he would just like appear in and out of the shed and there was no footage of him Going in or come, or he would go in, and there's only one exit and entrance.

1
Speaker 1
[00:47:29.37 - 00:47:33.77]

Yeah, and he would like come out. an old man. Yeah. No, he would. there would be a guy that would go in.

2
Speaker 2
[00:47:33.77 - 00:47:50.19]

that was like a 20-something year old, and then, no, he would not come out. You see, he had a video of him going in, and then he never left. But then all of a sudden, like this, old man comes out. what that looks. a lot like him, but just older I.

1
Speaker 1
[00:47:50.19 - 00:47:55.33]

Don't know. people are probably home like you. guys have lost the fucking plot, but no, I don't think so.

2
Speaker 2
[00:47:55.33 - 00:48:11.13]

I don't think we're at the Ludo and when people again, when people can explain It in ways that, like, you know, our brains can't comprehend because they can use probably more of our brain than we can, we only use 10%. some people probably is a lot less, obviously. Oh.

1
Speaker 1
[00:48:11.13 - 00:48:27.17]

We have around the. the mean is like 0.06%, but yeah, I I think that also. it's like everyone's, like always, like where there's smoke, there's fire, when it's like celeb gossip. well, what about the cavemen, the writing on the wall, like all the spaceships and the weird shit, so

?
Unknown Speaker
[00:48:28.33 - 00:48:28.81]

Yeah,

2
Speaker 2
[00:48:28.81 - 00:48:33.05]

It's freaky. I like it, though. I like it. I want to know more.

1
Speaker 1
[00:48:33.05 - 00:48:45.93]

We could honestly spend a whole episode talking about it, But perhaps we should carve out some time in an episode future to tell our like full ghost stories. Oh Yeah, people always seem to be fascinated. How are we not told them? Not here. I've talked to.

[00:48:45.93 - 00:48:49.95]

I feel like we both have it different times, like randomly, but probably it should have a ghost story episode.

[00:48:52.27 - 00:48:58.27]

I talk about Lazlo a lot on this show and everywhere people get sick of it, and that's because I absolutely love her.

2
Speaker 2
[00:48:58.27 - 00:49:02.87]

She's a huge part of my life. I can confirm Lazlo is definitely my favorite cat.

1
Speaker 1
[00:49:03.05 - 00:49:23.97]

So cute, there's a nothing better than getting home and cuddling with her. I like talk about it before I get home, like people get sick of it. when my cat is healthy, She's happy, and that makes me happy not just because I want her to live a long time, But also like going to the vet. really really adds up, and since I'm not a mind reader, unfortunately, I've tried Telepathically talking with her. I don't always know when she's unwell.

[00:49:23.97 - 00:49:28.59]

Helping me keep tabs on my cat's health is just one reason that I love pretty litter.

2
Speaker 2
[00:49:28.59 - 00:49:43.55]

Oftentimes, when people own a cat, you can just smell it when you walk into their place. But because you use pretty litter, your place always smells great. pretty litters. ultra absorbent crystals trap odor. instantly No more cat bathroom smell.

[00:49:43.59 - 00:49:45.55]

Thank God, and you know, that's one of my biggest fears.

1
Speaker 1
[00:49:45.55 - 00:49:56.45]

Like I, I have friends with cats and I'm like some of you. I can. I can smell it from the driveway, But my place always smells great. It's pretty, pretty litter. I feel like a big reason people don't like having cats is because of that mess and smell.

[00:49:56.45 - 00:50:09.29]

but it is totally avoidable. Both pretty litter. I have never had issues with either of those things. pretty litters. Super light crystal base also minimizes mess and dust, and I'm also like when you're cleaning out, you don't just want to Breathe in a bunch of ickiness.

[00:50:09.29 - 00:50:12.67]

so it helps so much, plus the crystals last up to a month.

2
Speaker 2
[00:50:12.67 - 00:50:19.53]

Which means less scooping and fewer trips to the garbage. Well, don't? they also have that thing that helps you track potential illness?

1
Speaker 1
[00:50:19.67 - 00:50:39.41]

Yes, it's not just pretty, it's functional. That's the coolest thing about pretty litter. It changes colors to help monitor early signs of potential illness in my cat, including urinary tract infections and kidney issues, which, if you have a cat, you know that that is such a problem. and also I'm a Board certified hypochondriac. So this really helps me mitigate some of that damn.

[00:50:39.41 - 00:50:53.27]

So just makes me feel better and pretty litter ships for free right to my door in a small lightweight bag. If you've ever had a cat and you've carted litter around, you know, how heavy and what a pain it is. I never run out. It is always there for me. Just 10 out of 10 in every way.

[00:50:53.27 - 00:51:03.57]

I love that pretty pretty litter helps keep tabs on my cat's health and keeps odors down. You and your cat are going to love a pretty litter as much as we do go to pretty litter comm slash.

Speaker 1
[00:54:39.09 - 00:54:44.77]

So, speaking of things that can't be explained and people always having opinions about it, the affair, yes.

2
Speaker 2
[00:54:45.59 - 00:54:50.57]

Let's jump back into it. I know, because we started it and then we took a break from it.

1
Speaker 1
[00:54:50.57 - 00:55:00.93]

But well, and I think the reason again people may don't understand the episode that was last week was pre-recorded because the holiday. So it's we didn't. I know. people were like really excited about the affair and then they were like, I guess we're not doing it Anymore. No, we are.

[00:55:01.29 - 00:55:09.35]

Don't worry, guys. We're continuing. We're just doing a little test episode back to the regular schedule program. Yes, so let's talk about it. Me and Katie discussed it.

[00:55:09.35 - 00:55:14.51]

We figured it'd be easier if each of us explain one perspective of the episode, right?

2
Speaker 2
[00:55:14.97 - 00:55:21.05]

Okay, so I'll start with Noah's. Yeah, you tell Noah. so this is episode 2, episode 2 of the affair.

1
Speaker 1
[00:55:21.73 - 00:55:46.03]

So basically it comes back and again, we're always hearing that the narration is him. You know them being in interviews with police and he basically was saying, you know, I didn't really think about her much after that, but it's pretty clear that he's thinking about her. He's taking a little hot boy jog near our house and you know, doing weird shit. But then, you know, it cuts back to his day-to-day and his family and they're, you know, getting ready for this big party. that's happening and it's just.

[00:55:46.03 - 00:56:07.55]

I feel like it's continuing to sow more of the seeds of, like The ways in which he was very subtly feeling emasculated by. you know, his father-in-law, his wife, You know the monotony, His daughter. we're starting to see some, some seeds that she's a little troublemaker. I would describe her as Whitney, their teenage daughter, and he has one of her like. they're probably teenagers.

[00:56:07.55 - 00:56:18.15]

So I'm not gonna call him skanky, but you know some might in the 40s. They'd be like a fast girl. She's like coming like hey, mr. Soloway. He's like, hey, Whitney, or whatever the friend's name is.

[00:56:18.21 - 00:56:35.65]

They're having this big party and her Helen's mom is like, oh my god, We forgot the flowers like. what are we gonna do? and his wife, Helen, volunteers them to go to the farmer's market to get flowers for the party and She answers before asking Noah, She's like. I feel like that was like a way in which that they kind of showed that like she was like.

2
Speaker 2
[00:56:36.19 - 00:56:36.93]

Yeah, of course.

1
Speaker 1
[00:56:36.93 - 00:56:47.87]

We'll go like cuz the mom's like well, Noah shouldn't have to spend a Saturday doing that. and she's like. he doesn't mind, like speaking for him. and he's like oh, yeah, okay, I don't mind. so they go to the farmer's market and Immediately we see at one of the stands.

[00:56:47.99 - 00:57:10.91]

There's there's Allie hot as ever. Okay, She's with or next to her friend. they're selling jam and she's like Licking the jam like off her finger, like like already, that sultry vibe, that like big, like sexual, like hot girl energy. and In this version his daughter sees the jam and runs up to it. She's excited, She wants to try some and he's asking like, oh, can we get it?

[00:57:10.95 - 00:57:27.49]

Like please, blah, blah, blah. and he says To her like, hey, I've been worried about you. and the friend is like, oh, do you guys know each other? And she's like a little bit blah, blah, blah. So they have a little bit of an exchange and I feel like in this part She says like, are you well, am I gonna see you again?

[00:57:27.49 - 00:57:32.01]

or whatever? like says something along those lines? Here's my commitment to you. audience. I'm gonna make a note.

[00:57:32.09 - 00:57:46.45]

We'll make notes going forward. So this is just the best that I can do. memory, you know, just enough to be dangerous. They have some type of interaction. But she's again looking really hot, like giving that energy of a siren, and then he's just feeling like, you know, Really caught off guard that they see each other wants to get out of there.

[00:57:46.45 - 00:57:54.47]

cuz, Helen walks up right before the party. Helen comes out and is like what dress should I wear? and he chooses a dress and she picks the other one. She's like, I'm gonna wear the other one. on the way back.

[00:57:54.67 - 00:58:01.97]

They Stopped by the the ranch and we meet Cole, who is Ali's husband. So we've already met him, but he has not met him.

2
Speaker 2
[00:58:01.97 - 00:58:06.27]

Yeah, recognizes him. him and his brothers like work this like ranch horse.

1
Speaker 1
[00:58:06.85 - 00:58:20.81]

Whatever. Yeah, and Ali married into that family, So they stopped by because the little girl on the way to the farmers market wanted to see the horses. They stopped by and the son is like their other son was like, do you guys need a ranch hand?

2
Speaker 2
[00:58:21.01 - 00:58:26.01]

And there was a sign that said like ranch hand wanted. Yeah, ranch hand wanted, and he was they basically.

1
Speaker 1
[00:58:26.01 - 00:58:38.39]

We do have any experience. blah, blah, blah. obviously He doesn't. he's a rich kid, lives in Brooklyn and they're like how about you stay with us for a few hours if your parents are okay with it and we'll see if you have what it Takes? and Noah is like no, cuz again.

[00:58:38.39 - 00:58:48.27]

at this point He only knows him as the guy who has had sex with this woman on a car. that looked a little violent or weird. So Helen jumps in and is like no. Yes. He's never interested in anything.

[00:58:48.41 - 00:59:04.37]

Please like, let's have him stay here. So he stays and then you'll get back to this part in your part. So then we're at the party and Before the party he's been writing. and this is when Helen's picking the picking the dress. She drops off a plate.

[00:59:04.37 - 00:59:10.91]

It's a sandwich and he's like this is delicious. What is this? and she's like name me the ingredients. and she's like, oh, and some of that jam from the thing. And so he like, has a moment.

[00:59:10.91 - 00:59:19.45]

and then he's, she's asking him. How's the writing going? And he's like not great. I'm bored. and She's like well, I'm gonna try not to take offense to that.

[00:59:19.45 - 00:59:33.93]

and then that's when the dress thing happens. and that really stood out to me because it's like Again, when someone shows something in their own perspective, that doesn't paint them in a good light, I believe it. so I believe that that happened and he was bored. He was looking for something else. They're at the party.

[00:59:34.49 - 00:59:57.91]

Bruce, the father-in-law, Introduces Noah to his his what do you call it? But man, book agent, his book agent trying to help him out and actually, because Bruce is a dick, It's from both perspectives. It's known in the town. however, I thought this was interesting because he was like he was like, oh, I'm surprised you read my book and Showed it to your manager, and he, and Bruce to. Noah is like you, have no faith in people.

[00:59:57.91 - 01:00:13.03]

That's why. but he was trying to help him out. I don't think. I think that he Felt projected his own projections when Bruce would, you know, belittle him about his career and where he had been. I do think he was a dick, but I also think that he Was feeling that way about himself.

[01:00:13.19 - 01:00:25.91]

So like he felt louder. So like Bruce had tried to help him out. They're at this party. Then he sees Allie and she's in this very small black dress. hair is down, She's looking good, and they, you know, kind of have an interaction.

[01:00:25.91 - 01:00:38.61]

he comes to. she's like is this whiskey, oars or something like? they have an interaction and Helen like makes a comment about her, but I can't remember the meaner comment was in her perspective, but in his perspective.

2
Speaker 2
[01:00:39.33 - 01:00:44.47]

Helen says something about her, but she's like, oh, isn't that the girl from the lobster roll? and like was she flirting with you?

1
Speaker 1
[01:00:44.63 - 01:00:53.25]

Yeah, she's like. she's like. was that the girl from lobster roll? So, like Helen's, made the connection? or is he flirting and then the Bruce or the manager's like, of course He is like look, he's good-looking or whatever.

[01:00:54.11 - 01:01:00.29]

so He goes to find Allie and she's outside smoking again. Well, and also before that too.

2
Speaker 2
[01:01:01.45 - 01:01:14.19]

Helen is noticing that her dad has this woman come. Oh, And she like makes conscious. I can't believe he'd have her here After my mom's did all this her like basically commenting on how inappropriate.

[01:01:15.73 - 01:01:24.99]

This whole thing is like I don't know if like he's having an affair with this woman, But like, you know, no, Noah's like taking note that, like, she's not thrilled about this other woman being there.

1
Speaker 1
[01:01:24.99 - 01:01:33.79]

Oh, yeah, I think it's definitely his mistress. So yeah, a known like a secret. It's not a secret, Yeah, so he goes out, finds her, she's smoky again, again, back with the cigarettes. We just don't know. Mm-hmm.

[01:01:33.79 - 01:01:53.01]

so they end up going out to there's a little private beach and remind me Who suggested it in that version. was it? I think it was her Who said it was in the water. in that version that was like, let's go somewhere. So they go out on the beach and in this version, very interesting, she runs out into the water and she's so carefree and she's kicking around and whatever.

[01:01:53.01 - 01:02:07.05]

and You know, again is just like just the happiest little gal. So they sit down, they're having a chat. he, I believe, says to her like I've been thinking about you a lot, and she basically says I've been thinking about you too. and then she

2
Speaker 2
[01:02:07.55 - 01:02:09.51]

Reveals that she's married.

1
Speaker 1
[01:02:10.03 - 01:02:22.53]

Well, cuz this, this same sentence happens in both times at very different context. She, she says marriage means different things to different people. But in his version it to her is like marriage is loosey-goosey to me. It's a him. He's like, not me.

[01:02:22.53 - 01:02:39.57]

I respect my marriage and I love my wife. and it means one thing like one person for another person. and that's it. And then, I guess, without getting too granular, Chris would discuss that they end up. eventually They end up kissing and then in his version He's obviously like shocked by it, and then he goes back to his life and then it switches to Ali's perspective.

2
Speaker 2
[01:02:39.57 - 01:02:44.71]

But in his one, she she's at the door and she was. I couldn't remember your wife's birthday.

1
Speaker 1
[01:02:44.71 - 01:02:55.07]

Cuz, when they're coming. when they're coming out, when they first put the code in, he's like, it's my wife's birthday. He gets it wrong several times, which I thought was interesting. I couldn't remember whose version that was in. So I didn't say it was his, it was his.

[01:02:55.15 - 01:03:04.73]

Okay. So again, it shows him He literally cannot remember his wife's birthday, puts it in a couple times. So for her to leave she has to know the code and she's like, sorry, I didn't know your wife's birthday. and then they kiss. Yeah, now it's Ali's version.

[01:03:04.81 - 01:03:05.03]

Oh, yeah.

2
Speaker 2
[01:03:05.03 - 01:03:20.47]

So an Ali's version, you know that Morning, she's. you know, going about her Daily activities is picking up like whatever fish from the boat. I don't know. There's some characters that she's running through throughout the day. I mean, well, I think it's important just to point out.

1
Speaker 1
[01:03:20.47 - 01:03:22.17]

There's obviously something. they have a side hustle.

2
Speaker 2
[01:03:22.63 - 01:03:31.37]

Yeah, I know there is. there is So, but it's a little unclear of like what it totally is at this point, like she's picking up.

1
Speaker 1
[01:03:31.83 - 01:03:41.77]

What is it on the boat? She's grabbing cooler, grabbing fish and it's cooler. Yes, and then bringing it to there. Why would you be bringing fish to your taxi place, the train taxi? Oh, and there's a locked door.

2
Speaker 2
[01:03:41.77 - 01:04:04.31]

Yeah, and she's like I told you to keep that door closed. He's like who's gonna be stopping by. then you see the train pull up and then she's like, you know, I never thought I'd see him again and she's like you. all these, you know, city people, weekend people We're supposed to be like Nameless faces, people to them like stop signs. and then she sees it shows like a man with his family, Not real, focused on it, but like it's almost that she's looking at this person.

[01:04:04.31 - 01:04:32.07]

So, I don't know if it's another man that she knew at one point. Interesting, then she goes to try to get her paycheck. Her boss is kind of a dick, but then he mentions that there's a catering opportunity at the house, where obviously it's it's the In-laws, Bruce in here. Yeah, and Yeah, Helen's parents, her, her co-worker, immediately is like yes, but Helen hurts. What can I talk?

[01:04:32.43 - 01:04:40.81]

Allison's like no, I don't want to. she goes. Oh, you're too good for that. But you know, for obvious reasons She doesn't really want to. and then she goes to see her.

[01:04:40.97 - 01:04:44.49]

It's her sister-in-law. Who's also her friend. They're both married to the brothers.

[01:04:46.13 - 01:05:02.67]

and They're talking about like their sex lives or something, and Allison's coming off of kind of like prudish because her sister-in-law, she's like Oh, whatever. Her husband's name is, asked me if I want to have a threesome. She's like have you ever had one? She's like no, She's a colonized anal once. She's like, oh wow.

1
Speaker 1
[01:05:03.65 - 01:05:08.69]

It's very much painting. Her is like I'm pretty innocent. Like yeah, my marriage. Yeah. What exactly?

2
Speaker 2
[01:05:09.31 - 01:05:37.59]

so then they go to the farmers market to sell their jam and Of course Noah sees her and he approaches her. he's like, oh, hey, I've been thinking about you. I was wondering when I see you again, again with his smile and his charm, and her sister-in-law is like, oh, who who's this? And again, it's like the sister-in-law is like, almost like an antagonistic type as well, And she and Ali's just like caught in the middle, you know, she's like, oh, you know, Just with the tucking her head, and he's like, what are you selling? She's a jam, and he's like, what's good?

[01:05:37.63 - 01:05:59.27]

What do you recommend? and the sister-in-law's like? Oh, we have this flavor, this flavor, this flavor, and he's like, well, I'll take one of all of them. and again Ali's just Sitting there like not saying much, of course at all. And then you know, they leave and then they go drive by the, the horse ranch or whatever, and Lockhart, Lockhart ranch in this in in Ali's version.

[01:05:59.43 - 01:06:16.61]

The family's not there. But the next scene. Yeah, the next scene, Oh, no, Ali is there, but the family's not stopping by the sister, the troublemaker, the troublemaker, sister Whitney, rolls up in a convertible and like, jumps out and she's like Whatever. What's the brother's name? Scotty.

[01:06:16.79 - 01:06:19.09]

Oh, she's Scotty. I'm here and she's like, is he here?

1
Speaker 1
[01:06:19.27 - 01:06:24.71]

Oh, I'm sorry, Martin. Martin is the brother. Martin is her little brother's name. Scotty is Cole's brother's name.

2
Speaker 2
[01:06:24.71 - 01:06:38.47]

Yeah, so Scotty is one that's sitting like at the front of the stable, Allison's brother-in-law. Yeah, so he's one of the brothers. So then Whitney burrows up. she's looking for Martin, the brother. That's the names, wrong, sorry, you guys trying.

[01:06:38.47 - 01:06:54.57]

she's like is my brother there is my brother here and she's like right, Scotty, immediately he's like, whoa, who's this? and she's like a Teenage girl, little girl, gross, and they're all kind of like watching this interaction. And she's like I've never read a horse before. and he's like I could show you and she goes. well, I'm a dancer.

[01:06:54.71 - 01:07:04.61]

So my hips are very loose. And so then she gets the brother. She's like it's time to come home. You got it cleaned up for the party. They leave Cole's like looking at his brother, like dude, she's way too young.

[01:07:04.89 - 01:07:11.53]

He's like, well, we need the money. Yeah, they outwardly say to him like knock it off. Yeah, it's pretty. after they leave T gross. and then, so then Ali leaves.

[01:07:11.53 - 01:07:27.23]

She's on her. Oh, no, then Ali has an interaction with Cole's mom and she's basically like, how are you doing? you know, really worried about you, and I feel like Ali's under a lot of like Emotional, like pressure from his family, and it's just like I think it's just been a lot for her.

1
Speaker 1
[01:07:27.23 - 01:07:30.27]

After their son. after their son, they want them to have another baby.

2
Speaker 2
[01:07:30.27 - 01:07:55.35]

Yeah, they want to have another baby and she's like well, Maybe she's like I'm gonna clean out their old rooms, And so there could be room for you guys to move back in if you want, Maybe next time it'll be helpful for you to have, you know people around you and help, and it's just like a lot of pressure. So Ali's on her way home now and she stops in front of her house and she, just like, can't go in there. So she calls her co-worker and it's like are you gonna do that catering gig? I want to come. can I borrow a dress?

[01:07:55.35 - 01:08:00.21]

So she goes. next we see her. She's at the party and she's wearing a little tight black dress.

1
Speaker 1
[01:08:00.21 - 01:08:04.79]

You know what? I was thinking back. I think it is the same dress, but the hair and the energy is different.

2
Speaker 2
[01:08:04.79 - 01:08:12.31]

Of course, so, but it was. it was a small black. It was a small. Yeah, and you could tell she felt in her version. you know, she feels really uncomfortable on it.

[01:08:12.31 - 01:08:30.89]

and You see, she has an interaction with Helen's mom and Helen. and Helen's mom is like she's like pissed off because she's watching her husband Interact with. you know this woman. she asks Ali, she goes what do you think of that woman? and Ali says she's not my type, and that makes her laugh.

[01:08:30.89 - 01:08:49.39]

and Then she goes you see, that balding man over there Hates him. She hates him, so she, so Ali's getting like a whole, like different kind of like perspective and insight. and even Helen's mom says like why do I? why do you look familiar? And she goes I work at the the lobster.

[01:08:49.39 - 01:08:56.11]

Oh, she goes. Oh, you're that girl that lost her baby. How are you doing? Are you taking care of yourself? It has, it's like really uncomfortable interaction with her.

[01:08:56.11 - 01:09:11.81]

But then she leaves her with, if I could promise you How much money she offers her, thousand, a thousand dollars. She offers her to try to spill a drink on her husband. So then you see her walk over to the table. She brings him a drink. She doesn't spill on him.

[01:09:12.31 - 01:09:23.75]

but then, you know, he's standing there with Noah and Helen, and Helen, Kind of like, embarrasses her in front of everyone. She like, she's like, oh, let me help you with that, and she fixed her bra strap and.

1
Speaker 1
[01:09:25.29 - 01:09:26.91]

Makes a snarky. call makes a snarky.

2
Speaker 2
[01:09:27.67 - 01:09:40.77]

After she walks away. I think she says something like could it be any tighter? Yeah, I like it. just like really snarky. and then Ali walks inside and she sees Scotty Going upstairs with the daughter Whitney and she says what are you doing?

[01:09:40.97 - 01:09:52.91]

Because when you makes a comment, She goes, oh, I'll show you upstairs. And then, of course, Noah walks in and he's like what's going on here? and Scott, He's like, I'm looking for a bathroom. He's like, well, there's one on this floor. So he of course walks downstairs, goes off to use the bathroom, and then he looks at Ali and says do you want to get?

[01:09:52.97 - 01:10:04.49]

Out of here. So they go out to the beach. They're standing out there. He says do you want to like get in the water? And she's like I can't swim or something something like that.

1
Speaker 1
[01:10:04.49 - 01:10:11.69]

Such an important distinction between the two? because, remember her, do we know at this point how her son died? Or do I just know some past? I don't think we do. No.

[01:10:11.81 - 01:10:18.41]

Well, she very clearly is uncomfortable on water. So I believe her in that version that she did not run out in the water and go have fun. Yeah.

2
Speaker 2
[01:10:19.37 - 01:10:56.59]

And he's telling her he can show her how to swim All this shit. so they you know, they start talking about marriage and then you know they do. they do kind of have the same type of conversation about the importance of marriage and he tells his story about how he got married really young, and You know, he was in love with an artsy woman and he wanted to be artsy and and You know, he would do it If he had to do it all again, he said he would wait just to see the person that he would become. So it's not like, it's totally different. I mean they both like agree that you know, it's important.

1
Speaker 1
[01:10:56.59 - 01:11:09.29]

She makes that comment that is like marriage means different things to different people, But in her version, it's very much like. it's not like. so let's go be swingers. It's like she's just stating a fact and just saying like yeah, well, marriage is different for people.

2
Speaker 2
[01:11:09.29 - 01:11:44.39]

Yeah, but he does, you know, he he's still like very complimentary about his wife. He's not like you, fucker. I'm done. He's like, you know, I just I got married young and I'm just curious if I, you know, would have waited, but it's not that I wouldn't do it Again, this would see, you want to see the person to become and he I mean there's like he goes into more death, but that's just basically just of it. and then, You know He, at one point he does kiss her on the beach there and then it cuts to her talking to the detective and he's like so there's somebody that gets killed, and They're not, they're not saying who it is, But he's like asking her, you know, so you went back to the city that night.

[01:11:44.39 - 01:12:02.39]

you left and went back to the city. She said yeah, adamantly. No, it's basically, That's still like, because they're talking about stuff that we haven't learned yet, And there's somebody that was killed and died and she's, you know, Trying to give an alibi, basically, and she's sticking firm on it. clearly, two very different things happened at the end of that night.

1
Speaker 1
[01:12:02.39 - 01:12:08.31]

From what they're saying. Hmm. We don't know. keep in mind. This is our Hamptons countdown, which is why we're redoing it.

[01:12:08.31 - 01:12:22.25]

But I literally forgot how good this show is like. again, if you haven't watched it, please jump on the train with us. We love talking about it. And I don't think I don't know what else. things cuz she's heard the other one, I feel like we did a better job like that was better of doing it like.

2
Speaker 2
[01:12:22.89 - 01:12:28.73]

Yeah, Effective, it just gets such. it's just such a mindfuck when you cuz you watch Noah's, you're like, okay.

1
Speaker 1
[01:12:28.73 - 01:12:33.73]

Wow, this isn't. and then you watch Alex. You're like, this is totally different. You're like, what the fuck? who am?

[01:12:33.73 - 01:12:38.25]

I? Don't know what to believe. It's. I mean you're playing detective with the detectives, which is like.

2
Speaker 2
[01:12:38.83 - 01:12:50.69]

It's really a good time. I know, but like that would be so frustrating to be that detective because you're like, um, The events that are taking place are happening. But the accounts of like what happened also, I think that it's something to be said the.

1
Speaker 1
[01:12:51.83 - 01:13:04.83]

In being a detective and this just comes from the a true crime podcast I've listened to. but When there are variances, I think that detectives have to examine why. why are there changes, even if they're big or small, like how? why? Was this in detail?

[01:13:04.83 - 01:13:14.61]

change? it changed, be if it's the same person telling the same story over and over, like. Why did that change for them? or was it just a member that you can't trust your memory thing? So like trying to discern.

[01:13:14.61 - 01:13:20.95]

there's just so many layers. It's super interesting. Yeah, so that's the air. should we get into? Basement?

[01:13:20.95 - 01:13:24.01]

oh, it's been so long basement. Okay.

[01:13:26.75 - 01:13:28.55]

Who's in your basement this week, okay?

2
Speaker 2
[01:13:30.29 - 01:13:56.43]

In my basement, it's kind of like a generalization, but I'll just be like people who Think that they're the main character and I'll elaborate, you know people that are like, oh, I don't want to do that because I don't want the government having my Information like they won't do like they're concerned about, like facial recognition, like people that don't want to sign up for clear at the airport. I'm like you. why do you think you're that important? Hmm, you know, you're not the main character. and all of this like.

[01:13:56.43 - 01:14:11.79]

first of all, have you? do you have a driver's license? I don't know. I just it really bothers me the way people go on these like long Tangents about not, they don't want the government to have their like information. They're like being that precious and protective over it, like, and it's, you know, what that is your.

[01:14:12.81 - 01:14:14.79]

It's your life. It's your business, but I'm just like.

1
Speaker 1
[01:14:15.51 - 01:14:21.93]

Who the fuck do you think you are right? also, like most people's info is out there, like since you've been born doing stuff to.

2
Speaker 2
[01:14:21.93 - 01:14:30.99]

Your point. do you have a driver's license, like you? you you're assigned a number when you're born? You're something like you're not doing anything that important or great that they they want to like. track you, you know.

[01:14:30.99 - 01:14:35.63]

I think I don't. I don't know how to tell you this, but, like you, I don't want my fingerprint out there.

1
Speaker 1
[01:14:35.63 - 01:14:39.59]

Shut the fuck up. No one wants you the recipe to your grandma's peach cobbler.

2
Speaker 2
[01:14:40.31 - 01:14:53.01]

Fucking, relax, like who was okay, Tim, Anything else you got for me? Like, you're not the main character here. Like you, like spy kids, like shut the fuck up. I Don't know. It just like bothers me whenever someone's like on a tangent.

[01:14:53.09 - 01:14:59.05]

I just want to be like, I'm sorry, Are you doing something? Important in life. What's your legacy? my guy? nothing.

[01:14:59.49 - 01:15:05.81]

No. Anyway, it's just like I don't know. I don't care. They can have it all, can't wait to find out. this is specifically about.

[01:15:05.81 - 01:15:16.37]

it's not about anyone specific. It's not. I just you know, I just you see. it's like the people like, sometimes like in a comment section or something like that, and you're just like you. We're all.

[01:15:16.37 - 01:15:34.47]

first of all, no one's that important. No, unless you're someone that is like a leader of a country or doing something like, you're not important enough to keep yourself that protected. No one's gonna, no one, no one's coming up to you. No, live your life, I guess. Yeah, in the basement, because you're annoying to me, You're just annoying.

[01:15:34.47 - 01:15:40.15]

am I alone? No, no, I agree with you. Yeah, agreed. Okay. Anyways, who's in your place?

1
Speaker 1
[01:15:42.05 - 01:15:48.31]

No, you're. I agree, I have five, so I have to narrow it down. I haven't seen you in so long. number one I am gonna stick. tampon makers.

[01:15:49.73 - 01:16:00.01]

Good for you. Thank God. all of us, all people who have been menstruating since your childhood or teens. I've been getting lead and arsenic in your tampons. So I'm going on.

[01:16:00.01 - 01:16:27.89]

I'm on like two decades of that. I'm sure you're like it's. It's just disgusting to me the way that this has been allowed to be happen. The way that it's only in the last year that they've started testing period products with blood instead of water, like it's just women's health care, is just such an afterthought, and I'm disgusted. Clinton Kane has emerged and he did a tried to do a series rebuttaling Brooke and, If you know, we've talked about this whole thing on a past episode.

[01:16:27.89 - 01:16:41.27]

So if you want to go seek it out, he has his comments turned off. It is hilarious to me. He basically will be like he'll be like, well, yeah, I did lie about my parent being dead, But you said I said it on the 16th and I said it on the 17th. It's like a master class in narcissism. It's fascinating.

[01:16:41.55 - 01:16:45.07]

It's hilarious. If you need a laugh, go watch it. I try to watch it.

2
Speaker 2
[01:16:45.07 - 01:16:50.49]

I was like, I couldn't get past the chapped lips. He needs to put chapstick on. I'm like, let's babe.

1
Speaker 1
[01:16:50.49 - 01:16:51.45]

Let's get you a little scrub.

2
Speaker 2
[01:16:53.39 - 01:17:03.29]

I'm gonna throw up, so I'm done with this. No, I also don't need to hear anything. So good, I'm not trying to be a bitch, but he just looks. I am trying to be a bitch and yeah, he's grosses me out.

1
Speaker 1
[01:17:03.29 - 01:17:23.05]

He looks like his breastings. So I just I'm just saying, I think that whatever is happening, You know in his mouth. I think hygiene, Brooke, the hygiene, she's a lacking. we might have some halitosis and He looks like the poster child for halitosis and I think that Brooke was really doing the Lord's work. So there's that one.

[01:17:23.05 - 01:17:38.53]

Pearl, you're back on the fucking. I'm taking you out of the basement, So I can stick you at the top of the stairs and use my heel and kick you down it. She started a fight with, drew on on. Oh, I know, drew a follow. I'm sorry, I'm sure we love me so much.

[01:17:38.53 - 01:17:44.41]

I'm sorry, but I'm saying your last name wrong. I say last name is wrong all the time. That's just kind of my thing. She's just drew to me. She's, she's just drew.

[01:17:44.49 - 01:17:51.19]

She doesn't even need it. Like she is so iconic. She is gorgeous. She's toxic to men who deserve it all the time. She's unafraid.

[01:17:51.37 - 01:18:10.21]

She's just very honest, Disrespectfully energy like, really, really love her. Pearl, for some reason, picked a fight with her. First of all, was throwing microaggressions out there, was comparing her to the guy from Moana. What the the guy with the rock care, literally racism. first of all because she's Samoan was talking shit about her boyfriend.

[01:18:10.21 - 01:18:25.93]

she Ate Pearl alive. I mean Pearl is just again. She's in a really healthy relationship, has been. she's a beautiful couple, has been for years. Pearl says all the things she thinks that men want to hear and is still not.

[01:18:25.93 - 01:18:35.37]

no one has chosen her. So she was like, well, you don't even have a man. So let's start there. Anyway, but the exchange was hilarious. it was great, very entertaining for all of us to watch her be absolutely destroyed.

[01:18:35.37 - 01:18:54.11]

but, Pearl, you just Sit down, do less. and then I saw this guy who was like, where's the traditional women like in the 1800s women? Their favorite thing to do was to cook and clean and whatever, and he was disgusting, obviously, and I commented on it and everyone was Commenting the same thing, but I was like, oh my god, we need to set you up with Pearl. You guys would be amazing. Can someone connect them?

[01:18:54.29 - 01:18:56.43]

Like we're yeah, well, here's your man.

2
Speaker 2
[01:18:56.99 - 01:19:01.85]

Either that or hop on a time machine. my guy. I'm gonna admit one of these, and this is my last one.

1
Speaker 1
[01:19:01.85 - 01:19:22.23]

I'm sorry. I'm backed up emotionally because we haven't Recorded together in a week. There's a girl that I saved her tik-tok. I came very close to stitching it and making a response, but I just didn't want to get into it because I could tell the kind of person she was. and she's like, um, She's clearly has Lip filler, Botox, rhinoplasty, veneers, I think chin filler and cheek fillers.

[01:19:22.23 - 01:19:29.29]

Well, she's. and mind you, I know lots of this, because I have lots of this takes one to no one. babes. Extensions takes one to no one. She goes.

[01:19:29.73 - 01:19:40.25]

Can these people in face up just like it? does anyone just have real looking? you guys just look like what's your real? I color babe. I can't even in my see you in person, Like, thought she ate down.

[01:19:40.51 - 01:19:48.23]

It was giving Regina George. It was giving insecure. It was giving pick me. I was just not having it. it like yesterday.

[01:19:48.23 - 01:19:50.13]

I had time and almost responded to her.

2
Speaker 2
[01:19:50.13 - 01:19:53.03]

Who is it? She's just some fucking random ass.

1
Speaker 1
[01:19:53.63 - 01:20:03.89]

Basic ass looking bitch. And by the way, she's beautiful. I have been here all the things I'm. that is not the point. the point is I don't have veneers and Botox and extensions and Formerly had lip filler.

[01:20:03.89 - 01:20:18.91]

and get on Beyonce's internet and tell people that they are fake as fuck because they're using face app, Because you distort. maybe people are insecure. let them. if someone wants to be unrecognizable, let them. but regardless, and obviously we know that we're Very passionate about face app on this.

[01:20:19.15 - 01:20:38.21]

Yeah, but it was just the irony of it that there was just nothing natural about her and trying to be that way. and I was Just like baby you. you bought face app, the real-life face app. So, I don't know what metaverse you think you exist in, but it's certainly not a vacuum and you should probably log off. Yeah, clock out, shut the fuck up.

[01:20:38.29 - 01:20:43.11]

You sound mean. you sound nasty. That's my baby. I mean, amen. Amen.

2
Speaker 2
[01:20:43.11 - 01:20:47.79]

I feel better. I missed it. I've missed this. What a sweet release. Mmm.

[01:20:48.05 - 01:20:48.99]

Okay, wait.

1
Speaker 1
[01:20:48.99 - 01:21:01.63]

I was seeing some comments cuz I guess we have new listeners and we we really know. we always say dub dub DD. WWDD, known as dub dub DD, stands for what would Disrespectfully do. so people are confused. So I'm like we have new listeners.

[01:21:01.67 - 01:21:07.87]

I guess we always say dub dub DD. So maybe people don't know. Yeah, but we're gonna do hometown. Yeah, we're gonna do hometown first.

2
Speaker 2
[01:21:07.87 - 01:21:13.35]

But just you know, when we get to dub dub DD, that's what. that's what it is. Okay, great. Well, let's get home. Yeah.

[01:21:16.15 - 01:21:31.17]

Hi, Katie and Dana, love you both from BPR and have been binging the pod to catch up. I have a hometown hero, but I'll let you decide if it's a hero or not. I meet this dude on an app and I was out drinking with a friend. So he met up with us. I get so horny drunk.

[01:21:31.21 - 01:21:47.73]

So I took him back to my place And we hooked up. the sex was fire. So he and I continued to hook up for months. He even took me on dates to the point where I thought we'd become boyfriend-girlfriend About the three-month mark. We had just had sex and he decides to tell me he's married while he's still inside me.

[01:21:48.45 - 01:22:09.19]

Mmm, I was mortified. I had even asked him previously if he was single and he lied to me. I got out of there so fast. He worked in IT, So he proceeded to lightly stalk me by creating different Google numbers to contact me when I'd blocked with the previous one. I still to this day get texts from him every once in a while, and this was four years ago.

[01:22:09.19 - 01:22:14.59]

I never told anyone about the finding out he was married while his hot dog was in my bun.

1
Speaker 1
[01:22:16.05 - 01:22:23.61]

Not the glizzy. What did the glizzy do wrong? Leave her out of it. Ah, Okay, I wish we had more information. This is insane.

[01:22:23.67 - 01:22:31.89]

Cuz. why would he do that when he, when they're having sex? Why would he do that period? Why would he do a period, but why tell her about it while you're, I mean?

2
Speaker 2
[01:22:31.89 - 01:22:33.09]

maybe because it's like.

1
Speaker 1
[01:22:34.33 - 01:22:48.79]

It's like that episode of sex in the city when Miranda calls Skipper and he's having sex with his new girlfriend and she's like, hey, I miss you. He answers it and he hangs up and he's like, hey, the woman I love just called. I'm sorry, this isn't gonna work out. She's like you're breaking up with me. Why are you still inside me?

[01:22:49.77 - 01:22:50.13]

I?

2
Speaker 2
[01:22:50.13 - 01:23:23.15]

Mean, yeah, so I figured he had to do it at some point and maybe that was, but I don't know I mean, but going on dates and like, I mean that is like a full-on like relationship. like, how, also like, how does it not come up of like? so like, can I see your place, like, I mean there had to have been some kind of like Indications that maybe he has a whole nother life, You don't? you're not aware of like, I don't, I don't know. That's that is a hard thing to hide the whole like wife and I don't know.

1
Speaker 1
[01:23:23.15 - 01:23:35.77]

I mean well, and I also might be a thing that they're like the writing was on the wall and looking back like that guy That I dated, that was an absolute freak and something was wrong, And he only kept telling me his apartment was flooded and we kept like going hotels and finally I was like, um,

2
Speaker 2
[01:23:35.81 - 01:24:10.27]

Something's going on here. Yeah, I met a guy one time, and I mean this was like we'd been talking, maybe like a Couple weeks or something like that, and I met him out and then we were making plans to hang out again, but we had talked on if we were talking on the phone, and It was when he was called on the way to pick me up That all of a sudden he called me to let me know that he was like on his way, But all of a sudden it was from a different number. It was not the number that saved in my phone and I was like, where are you calling me from? He's like from, and he like dawn on him that he fucked up because you've been calling me from a Google number.

1
Speaker 1
[01:24:10.27 - 01:24:13.45]

I feel like you've told it and he like got to your place. He got to my place.

2
Speaker 2
[01:24:13.45 - 01:24:21.85]

I knew I was like this is something's off, something's not right. And I got there and then he revealed that he was like in a relationship, had a fiance, and the whole thing It's just like men.

1
Speaker 1
[01:24:22.83 - 01:24:29.05]

Are not okay. You are a hero. Yeah, you are home. You're a hometown hero. I mean, it's not your fault.

2
Speaker 2
[01:24:30.13 - 01:24:32.33]

It's not your fault. But like damn, I'm sorry about that.

1
Speaker 1
[01:24:33.19 - 01:24:45.59]

I'm sorry that happened while his hot dog was in your bun. So Regina says hey ladies. Love you both. Here's a fun story. one night in my early fun party girl 20s I have been flirting with my guy friend at parties and we'd have a makeout sesh here and there.

[01:24:45.59 - 01:25:03.91]

Nothing serious. just was fun when we were trashed. Well, one night we were at a semi get small get-together and I got trashed and was in DTF mode. My sister and friends I came with left really quick to get food and he and I were making out a lot. I believe I yes, me decided to go to the garage to hook up.

[01:25:03.91 - 01:25:24.39]

We hooked up on top of my friend's dad's Corvette. I don't remember the details, as it was over 12 years ago, But I remembered I was going to live out the secret rendezvous sex moment or whatever Lol, but then, of course, we got walked in on by another guy friend. when that happened, the dude I was hooking up with let go of my legs, Which made me lose my balance, and I rolled off the car and hit my head on a motorcycle.

[01:25:29.11 - 01:25:53.99]

That could be in a Geico insurance commercial. I think I was so embarrassed that I couldn't really run away Because my ride was not back. yet The guy that walked in texted my sister and told her that he knew it was me and he wouldn't have announced it to the Party, I was so embarrassed and also felt so bad that I actually did that in someone's house. morals kicked in all of a sudden That the guy who lived there was cool about it. He had a good laugh and mentioned that there were butt cheeks on the car.

[01:25:55.49 - 01:26:14.63]

Word did get out and people heard about it and some would call me Corvette girl or say hey, I should get a Corvette and other things which all I could do is shake my head in shame and laugh. As for the guy hooked up with, I believe I told him I'd come over and hang, but it never happened. my friends And now my husband's still make jokes this day about it. Love the pod. Keep it up.

[01:26:14.77 - 01:26:16.33]

And yes, two times a week, please.

[01:26:16.33 - 01:26:24.99]

Oh, my god, there's somebody like white snake References to make about being a girl on the head of a car like probably too young for that. But I'm a.

[01:26:25.87 - 01:26:32.77]

Corvette girl, you're a hometown hero. Hmm. Absolutely. I wish also I have a story like that. But do you have a concussion?

[01:26:33.19 - 01:26:43.09]

Yeah, we, okay. How's the melon on after that, like that's? yeah, I'm mostly concerned about your serious head injury, but legend, we love to see it, legendary behavior.

2
Speaker 2
[01:26:43.63 - 01:26:44.07]

legendary.

Should we dub-dub DD? let's dub-dub DD.

2
Speaker 2
[01:26:50.71 - 01:27:01.09]

Andrea says hey, babes. Love you both. obsessed with the pod, It has gotten me through late nights and early mornings taking care of my two-month-old son. I'll try not to make this too long. My name is Drea.

[01:27:01.21 - 01:27:22.97]

I'm 25, as I mentioned before. I have a two-month-old son and lately I've been having trouble with body image since giving birth. I feel like nothing fits me right in my new body and I'm just having a hard time trying to figure out My personal style. I love a comfy fit, but also love how I feel when an outfit really hits. I'm also balling on a budget, Katie.

[01:27:23.11 - 01:27:36.25]

I love how you express yourself through style. Your outfits are always hitting. I also know that you've also struggled with body image, Which, honestly, who hasn't? you both seem to have a lot of confidence? Which I have really been struggling with.

[01:27:36.25 - 01:27:48.09]

any advice on finding your personal style and any places you ladies Know to find some great clothes without having to sell my breast milk to afford it. Lol again, I love you. Both. you ladies are doing amazing. on the pod.

[01:27:48.37 - 01:28:18.41]

Can we say continue to watch it grow? we definitely have all been there before where it's like sweatpants are all that fits me, and It's such a struggle like getting dressed because, like, you know, you want to be able to put on something and walk out the door and feel like fire in it, like of course, and I Totally understand that feels. I think confidence In your clothing is something that you know, it's. it's not about dressing like everybody else. So you don't want to be able to be like, oh, I love the way that looks on her, You know and then put it on yourself and not feel as great in it.

[01:28:18.41 - 01:28:36.75]

So I think personal style comes from the things that you gravitate Towards the most, that you feel the best in. so if you want to feel comfortable, you can still feel come comfortable and Be in a fit that hit. so I think a lot of people will dress to elevate their mood. So they'll want to like, Be like. I want to feel sexy.

[01:28:36.79 - 01:28:45.03]

So put themselves in something, something sexy. That doesn't work for me. I Have to kind of dress for the mood. I'm in. That makes sense.

[01:28:45.41 - 01:29:09.45]

And that's that's how I base my personal style. if I want, I mean, yeah, sometimes you want to go some. if you're going out, you want to feel like a little bit sexy, But like. there's ways to do that. So, like if you're going out with your friends, but you're not feeling particularly Like that, I think sometimes Like wearing a like really cute, of like pair of like trousers that are kind of like baggier, But then doing something on top that's like a little bit, you know, low-cut.

[01:29:09.45 - 01:29:29.61]

you can mess around with that, but I think just like playing around and being bold, and Whether it's colors or just all black. I'm definitely an all-black kind of gal, But not conforming to trends, I think trends can be fun, but you don't. that's where you want to be more budget-friendly. I mean, I shop at Zara all the time, Yeah.

1
Speaker 1
[01:29:29.61 - 01:30:13.37]

Zara really does have a good shit and I feel like, honestly, when it comes to Finding things that don't break the bank. It does just take a little more time to find, like sometimes Zara, There's a lot of items on it, right? So, like you really do have to go through stuff, but I think that they're Whatever your style was before you had your baby and congratulations, by the way I feel like it's taking that style like you can go back to that person, or like whatever your favorite version of your style was, and just Conforming it for who you are now and the body that you're in, and also honoring the body that you're in and what it just did For you, because that's an incredible thing that people who give birth go through. There's also no metal for like Fitting into a smaller size. So, like if you have older clothes that doesn't fit you anymore, It's gonna just make you feel bad when you're like you can't fit into it or whatever.

[01:30:13.37 - 01:30:50.23]

So I definitely recommend, because, yes, we've all been through there, Honestly, we were just in Vegas and I brought a skirt with me that I had not tried on well And I was like, oh, this is an interesting moment of my life. I think that it's all about Comfort can be sexy and you're not gonna ever feel comfortable. So you're not gonna feel sexy if you're in something that you feel is like Restrictive or doesn't fit you in the same way, or whatever. So it's just like you can have the same sense of style that you had before, or even evolve it, but then just make it be a part of where you are in your body at this time and like, And also there's like, a lot of exciting things about fluctuating body types, too. So it's just like you said, like get them titties out, do whatever.

[01:30:50.37 - 01:31:04.59]

So yeah, I think it's definitely just Evolving it to be where you are right now in your life and try something you haven't tried before, you haven't tried before, you never know. Be daring, but also, yes, completely understand the feeling of when you're like sweatpants are the only thing that fits.

2
Speaker 2
[01:31:04.59 - 01:31:20.41]

You know what. then wear the fucking sweat, then wear sweatpants, Sweatpants with like a really cool last shoe, And then, like a fun, like top and a blazer like you can make it, you can elevate it. Mm-hmm. We'll see. Okay, Ashley says.

Speaker 1
[01:31:20.93 - 01:31:45.79]

Hello, my loves day one listener here Love you both and feel like you are both my spirit animals, depending on which personality decides to show up for me that day. Anyways, in your most recent episode, Katie was talking about her scar and how her hair grows on it. So my question is for Katie and isn't about the hair, but the scar itself. I also have a scar on my chin, lip and chip to courtesy of an ex-boyfriend Basement. Mm-hmm.

[01:31:45.91 - 01:31:54.95]

I'll be, it's small. It's still noticeable. My question is how did you get over feeling so insecure about it? Or how do you just play it off? Like it doesn't faze you well for me.

[01:31:54.95 - 01:31:55.35]

I?

2
Speaker 2
[01:31:55.35 - 01:32:10.97]

Kind of leaned into it. I was like I was Not. a lot of people have scars on their face. So it's something that is Character, you know rustic that no one else has and Makes you unique and different.

1
Speaker 1
[01:32:10.97 - 01:32:18.59]

Tina Fey has a cool scar on her face. So she's had a horrible thing happen to her when she was really little. Yeah, she doesn't really like to talk about it. Well, yeah, so I mean.

2
Speaker 2
[01:32:19.23 - 01:32:37.87]

Crazy that aside of like how it happened, but I mean, I think you just have to kind of be like. well, This isn't. it's gonna make me different than everybody else, and it's kind of like, cool and unique. It's like becomes like Again. I'm not happy that this man did this to you, But if you can own it by taking back and just like, well, badge of honor, I'm a badass, you know, like.

[01:32:37.87 - 01:32:48.93]

I think it's just. I think it's just kind of a Mentality shift, but embracing it as like a, you know, I mean, that just sets you apart. Well, and I know that.

1
Speaker 1
[01:32:49.61 - 01:33:01.99]

This is. it's hard to do it for yourself, But you have to try to also keep in mind. No one notices it as much as you do, and that's true for anything on your body, right? Or anything that you don't like about your face or stands out to you, Like I literally I don't even ever like. think of your scar.

[01:33:01.99 - 01:33:15.19]

I feel like Tina Fey's the same way, and it's like yeah is like the thing that you've embraced and has become part of you, But it's just like. I'm sure it feels louder for you than it does for other people. So try and keep that in mind when you're like having a hard time about it. Yeah, but I think scars are kind of cool.

2
Speaker 2
[01:33:15.19 - 01:33:23.07]

So I do. That's just. maybe it's just me. But I think, yeah, I try to try to like, embrace it and love it. Fuck your ex-boyfriend for real.

1
Speaker 1
[01:33:23.07 - 01:33:41.19]

Hi, ladies, Josh, here I adore you both and look forward to the end of my crappy shifts to listen to the latest episode. Katie, I truly look up to you and the way you remain so unbothered by others, But can still read a bitch if you need to love you. I love your friendship so much. just pure, sweet and genuine platonic love reminds me of my own friendships. Okay, my question.

[01:33:41.19 - 01:34:02.55]

I've just finished high school and I've been working a shitty retail job for about a year now. I just met a boy there who I'm starting to fancy a little. being a gay boy in Scotland, I could count the amount of positive experiences with men in general. on one hand, throughout high school, I was subjected to verbal physical violence by straight men daily. I Recently came back from a vacation where a glass bottle was thrown at me and another drunk man tried to punch me in the face.

[01:34:02.55 - 01:34:22.57]

The memory sticks with me. the most is when I was called slurs and spat on when I was trying to walk home. The spitting hurt more than the violence. It made me feel grotesque and worthless. that night haunts me to this day, Despite it being happening when I was 13, and I'm now nearly 19 as a result of a decade of regular homophobia, I now struggle to communicate with men in general.

[01:34:22.57 - 01:34:37.15]

fear of mockery or violence really limits my ability to hold a conversation. I keep my head down and just try to stick with my girlies. Anyway, back to the boy. I like. he's been nice to me and I feel He is the first man to truly treat you with respect and kindness.

[01:34:37.15 - 01:35:02.17]

He is the first boy, I'm convinced, is not calling me slurs behind my back, But I even struggle to talk to him and I really don't want to fuck this up. I'm so scared to be alone forever. I know I'm young, but all of my closest girlfriends aren't committed relationships and I just want to be chosen once in my life. Do you have any advice on how I can improve my confidence when it comes to being around and talking to men? And do you have any thoughts on how to battle loneliness, especially in one's youth?

[01:35:02.73 - 01:35:27.99]

Love you, ladies. This podcast is healing. First of all, Josh, we love you so much and we're so sorry that that happened to you. that's unacceptable, and I hope that the world continues to be a kinder, more loving place for you, and I think that part of that is going to be in the community that you create and the people you meet. obviously, I can't speak to the experience of being a gay man in particular, but you know I really struggle with men for a lot of different reasons.

[01:35:27.99 - 01:35:58.27]

I've also had really an unfortunate interactions with with men and men that were supposed to be close to me or protecting me, and that's Not just from a relationship standpoint. That's, you know, physical, emotional abuse and different things I've endured in my life, and I think that it has taken. I'm Turning 34 in two weeks. So it's taken me a really really long time to get to this place, And I think if I had known What was going on when I was younger and like been working at it more than I, probably would have gotten here faster. So I think, first of all, you are so young.

[01:35:58.37 - 01:36:27.69]

So, babes, you're not gonna be alone forever. It's just not gonna happen. You are gonna meet someone, you'll probably meet a lot of someone's and you know go through All kinds of love in your life, so please try Not to focus on that, Although I know it does feel that way when you are the only one and but like you're literally 19, I'm right now 33 and almost every single person in my life is with a partner, a long-term partner. So, like I, totally get that also. But I think that the the main thing you can do.

[01:36:27.69 - 01:37:05.65]

I don't know if you've ever considered therapy or talked with someone about it, or, you know, sought out support groups, but there are different kinds of support out there and I think you do definitely need to work through those feelings and understand that Those things happen to you and you had a lot of it. So you probably feel like it's the only thing that's ever gonna happen. But just understanding that not everyone is bad and not every man wants to hurt you and not every person Wants to. by the way, they're projecting their own Internalized homophobia because they're probably struggling with their sexuality if someone's calling you an F slur and throwing things at you. But I think, with this boy in particular, Take it slow.

[01:37:05.75 - 01:37:21.37]

It takes time to build trust, especially if you're working through all of that trauma that you have about men. But I'm just sitting here on the other side of it. It's not telling you that you can get there. It is possible to heal and then have healthy relationships and trust people. So take it slow and then, when you feel like you have trust with this person.

[01:37:21.37 - 01:37:30.03]

You'll just have to be open to them with them about. you know What you've gone through, and so things will probably need to go at your pace, but that's very exciting. Yes, everything you said.

2
Speaker 2
[01:37:30.03 - 01:38:06.31]

I think Really taking your time is a huge, huge thing, because you are young, you are learning so much about yourself and growing up so much About who you are is going. not who you are in the fabric of yourself is going to change, But what you want is going to change, and I want you to like keep that in mind. so to really just enjoy this time in your life and enjoy the people you meet, and Don't get too caught up in it all. and it's not about You. if this person doesn't work out totally.

[01:38:06.61 - 01:38:47.71]

It's never about you, and I think The most important relationship right now and forever is going to be the one with yourself. so always Keep that as a number one priority and, I think, just not being as focused on Relationships, I think, and like I, would focus mostly on the friendships, because I think those ones are the most cherished ones right now. I know, I know it can be hard, It can be lonely, everyone else is getting relationships, but, like those, relationships likely aren't going to last as well, Your friendships probably will, but I think just like really Learning about yourself what you like, what you don't like. Again, it's the relationship with yourself right now that you're cultivating the most. so I focus on that.

[01:38:48.31 - 01:38:54.75]

And have fun. just have fun with people, and that's what I would recommend doing. but have more fun, figure out what it is.

1
Speaker 1
[01:38:54.75 - 01:39:04.65]

You like doing, do it? You'll probably build your community and, honestly, the more you have a stable community that decenters romantic relationships, It will also be easier probably then to open up to yeah.

2
Speaker 2
[01:39:04.65 - 01:39:17.59]

And yeah, so, and if the less you're focused on fucking things up, You're not going to fuck it up. You can't. you cannot say the wrong thing to the right person. So Don't worry about that. worry about how you feel constantly.

[01:39:17.59 - 01:39:21.49]

How does this person make me feel and not like? how does this person like me?

1
Speaker 1
[01:39:22.01 - 01:39:32.65]

That should never be a question. your God, remove that from your head as soon as humanly possible. Yeah, worry about if you like that person, and especially if you like yourself. Yeah. Yes, we like you, know, we love you.

[01:39:32.71 - 01:39:33.19]

Okay.

2
Speaker 2
[01:39:34.39 - 01:39:57.77]

Anonymous says how long do you wait for friends to repay you for a vacation? Single mom right now, going on a trip with three other single mom co-workers. I placed the trip on my credit card, So our seats were together on the plane and rooms together in the hotel together. almost three grand. Not that I need the money, but after a month the interest is going.

[01:39:57.77 - 01:40:07.39]

the interest is growing and to me It's just common courtesy. The trip is three months away. Do I say something or do I just let it be because they're my friends? Thanks a lot. Y'all are great.

[01:40:08.95 - 01:40:38.33]

What do you think? I mean, they should have just Sent you the money, like right after I was booked. I understand, like, yes, having a reservation booked Together all at once does ensure that you're seated together. It's all done together, rather than trying to coordinate it all under three separate reservations. So if one person, you being the one willing to do that Everyone collectively should have when you went to book, it should have just sent you the money right away, as if y'all were booking it Separately at the same time.

[01:40:38.43 - 01:40:53.69]

They should have just been done the same day without thinking about it. So I think Just a little like nudge. Hey, just just a little reminder, if you, if you mind sending over the money, I just want to make sure we square that away before we go if we had a friend, because, like sometimes, it's also a different.

1
Speaker 1
[01:40:53.69 - 01:41:20.99]

Thing. if it's like, okay, I'll get this if you get that whatever. But if you know that one friend has had the burden of the entire trip, I can't even I would be sending them the money immediately without even asking. but if they are your friends which it sounds like they are I think that it's totally acceptable to be like, Especially if you have interest growing on your credit card, like you're now literally paying extra for those trips. So I would just, yeah, text them, call them whatever you're most comfortable with and be like, hey guys, I don't want to be a pest, but it's just been some time and I am starting to get stressed about the Interest I'm getting my credit card.

[01:41:21.11 - 01:41:32.99]

Would it be okay if everyone, you know paid me before we got there? I'd really appreciate it, And I mean, if anyone had any problem with that, I would be concerned like, no, you need it So and you also should get that money before you go.

2
Speaker 2
[01:41:32.99 - 01:41:50.17]

Yeah, I mean, I know people get busy in their lives and it's just something that, like they, can space it throughout the day, but like just Hey, do you mind just doing that? right now? I'm sitting over there, some money. No one should be upset about that. So if they have the money to go, it's not like they don't have the money to go.

[01:41:50.17 - 01:41:58.03]

So they should just take care of it, be done with it. Yeah, definitely, say something. Mm-hmm. Well, thank you for tuning in listening send.
